Returning After a LONG Break
Returning After a LONG Break
Salutations everyone! Glintwine here, but you can just call me Glint. I played a game or two on this site many years ago - had to drop out due to typical IRL reasons, but now I'm back!
Before my five year break, I was a veteran play-by-post roleplayer across countless systems and websites. In the last five years I focused a lot more on face-to-face tabletop games, but alas, my long-term group has finally broken up for good, so I figured I would go back to prose and see where it goes.
I've almost always been a GM by necessity, but I would jump at the chance to be a player. My favourite systems include WEG Star Wars D6 (any edition), Dungeon World (and other PbtA games), Stars Without Number (and other Sine Nomine games), the Fudge RPG, Cyberpunk 2020, and Traveller (mostly experienced with Mongoose 2E). I'd be excited to jump into any of those games, or start brainstorming for one of them with anyone interested.
Generally, I'm super over-verbose and long-winded. It's a curse, as I just love to write but don't get to spend much time doing it day-to-day. Please don't hesitate to tell me to shut up when I'm rambling on too long - like right now probably!
I look forward to meeting and playing with you all, some for the second time I'm sure!

Welcome back and well met!
It's hard to explain puns to kleptomaniacs because they always take things literally.

Hi! You seem like a person I'd enjoy playing with.
Neil Gaiman: "I started imagining a world in which we replaced the phrase 'politically correct' wherever we could with 'treating other people with respect', and it made me smile."..."I know what you’re thinking now. You’re thinking 'Oh my god, that’s treating other people with respect gone mad!'"

Thanks everyone!
Also, damn - I think you GMed for me back in the day, Mister-Kent. Thanks so much for saying hi! It's a little eerie that we both returned so close to one another. Sorry I probably disappeared from your game back in the day - if we ever play together again I'll do better!Mister-Kent wrote:Welcome back!

Shut up, already! Geez.
Welcome back!

Welcome back!
On November 2nd I will be participating in another 24 hour game of Dungeons & Dragons as part of Extra Life. This organization uses gaming to help raise money to donate to children's hospitals. I'm raising money for Marshfield Children's Hospital in Marshfield, WI, and all money I raise will go to that hospital. All donations are tax-deductible. Please take a moment to check out my donation page below. Thank you.
