Alexa
Alexa will move a full move in the direction of the Horse noise. Worried about her companions getting into a fight with a War Band instead of just 3 orcs. She moves with purpose and draws a dagger in each hand in the process.

Re: Session 5: Beliard
Jaroo continues to rush up clutching his staff. He doesn't think his aim is good enough to fire a sling stone into a group of his friends. That one time he tried it when he was younger didn't end up well for his companion at the time.
Re: Session 5: Beliard
Initiative
Round 2
"Come, the sounds of battle!" Nexus calls to those lagging behind with him, shaking his head as he moves carefully forward, with Delgrot following behind. The two slow-moving non-humans are quickly passed by the longer strides of Alexa, who draws daggers in each of her hands as she readies herself for whatever situation exists before them.
Another trio -- Jaroo, Ardium, and August -- draw near enough to make out details of the battle unfolding before them. They resist the risks of ranged attacks and prepare to engage with their next opportunities.
In the mix of combatants, Unna acts first. The dwarf, wanting to target the sword-wielding orc, carefully circles around the orc with the trident, and attempts to slide her sword past the defenses of her target, but has her blade knocked aside by the butt end of the trident as its wielder is preparing its own attack.
Roderick, despondent over the orcs unwillingness to heed his demand to surrender, slashes at the sword-wielding orc with purpose, issuing a deep cut in the creatures left thigh. The orc is now laboring heavily, but still stands.
A pair of crossbow bolts burst into the melee from the cover of trees to the left! Both bolts sail harmlessly through or past the combatants.
With a similar lack of concern over possibly hitting one of their own race, a bow-wielding orcs send a pair of arrows into the crowd from the right... with greater accuracy. The first arrow catches Roderick off-guard and clips the paladin in his weapon arm (-2). The other arrow zips just past the Avatar and sinks into the orc-ally with a trident.
Both orcs engaged in the melee deem Unna to be the easier target and focus their efforts against the wayfinder, but the crafty dwarf is able to deftly avoid both efforts against her.
Dorobo crouches and quickly scampers to the right, taking near full cover (75%) against the shortbow orcs. He has the choice, firing into melee and risking friendly fire; or taking aim against the orcs with bows who, hidden in the trees, have roughly half concealment (50%)
The orcs, now with numbers, remain confident in their odds in the fight, despite the challenges the melee combatants will face in the afternoon sun, and against the paladin's aura.

As he shuffled to his right trying to flank his comrade's opponents a flurry of missiles from either side of the combat startles doroobo, with little time for thought Dorobo swivels right and let's his arrow go, quickly reaching back for another and thinking to himself 'We're fracked' (shortbow red is the target and he'll keep shooting at red till he falls then move to blue.

Re: Session 5: Beliard
Initiative
Dorobo crouches and quickly scampers to the right, taking near full cover (75%) against the shortbow orcs. Considering his situation, the thief draws an arrow, pops up over the tree stump he's crouched behind, and fires in the direction of the orc archers. His arrow splits through some leaves clinging to some low hanging branches and strikes its mark with a thud, followed by a pained yelp and curse by the unsuspecting target.
Round 3
Jaroo and August arrive on the scene quickly, stopping just short of melee and engaging with the enemy from a distance, with spell and bow. The druid, holy symbol held in front of him, calls upon his deity. Before they're able to fire off a second shot, the crossbow-wielding orcs are assaulted by the local flora as the trees they're using for concealment spring to life and hold the pair firmly in place and unable to move despite their struggles! The group's guide settles alongside the druid he had been keeping pace with looses an arrow in the direction of the entangled orcs and grunts disapprovingly as his arrow sinks firmly into the thick wooden trunk of one of the trees with animated branches.
Before she has a chance to react, Unna reels as both the sword- and trident-wielding orcs turn their attentions towards her and slice (-2) and prod (-4) her successfully, leaving the dwarf feeling bloodied. "Keep at um," she curses through the pain as she swings wildly with her sword, hoping her errant blade slice will at least drive her opponents back slightly.
Roderick, momentarily distracted by the newly revealed ranged enemies, and insulted at the lack of attention his immediate foes are paying him, attacks clumsily with his long sword.
Ardium, rushing, weaves to his right, settling under a tree offering light concealment, and fires an arrow in the direction of the orcish bowmen but the progress of his arrow is cut short by the cover the orcish archers are hiding behind.
Attempting to duplicate his previous success, Dorobo pops up and retargets the same foe he previously struck, but finds success too difficult to duplicate.
As the entangled crossbow orcs begin their struggle, the original pair of the orcish archers unleash a volley of arrows while a third orc archer arrives further off to the right and looses a single arrow of its own. Dorobo faces fire from multiple directions as one of the original orcs and the newcomer do their best to flank the dwarf. Ardium barely notices that he's targeted.
Alexa, long sword and dagger in hand, moving swiftly slows as she nears the nearest threat -- the newest orc archer (green). Her approach is stealthy enough to not attract undo attention.
The orcs appear steadfast in their determination to carry out their intentions.
