It's been four days. Moving it along. :)

Fyi, for cover I allow a maximum of -4 to be hit. But please know that it also bestows a -4 for you to hit while taking cover.
You may elect -3, -2, or -1 to hit and be hit. But please include that modifier in your dice roll macro. If it isn't there, your character doesn't have cover. Thanks.

I thought we were trying to push the troll carcass into the western intersection to block anything coming from that direction. :?:

Fyi, Tinuwen's bow will be called "Baudhring," which I think means something like "cold justice" in Sindarin.

Not sure but when Naruthirdor left the cave earlier, he noticed the acoustics of the rock walls had silenced the cacophony inside the tunnels.

Hey Pixie,
Cool. The stunted orc corpses aren't piled too deep, maybe two bodies high. To use them as cover, Gilwennen will need to lay down, fyi.

Yes, that’s what I meant. The ol’ dead horse barricade trick, like in a western. Except it’s orcs. :)

The results are not good. Sorry, gang! Sorry, Pixie.

I'll let this slide but as per my previous request, please put mods for cover into the dice macro itself. So next round, if you want -3 to hit and to be hit, please use [1d20-3] as your macro.
Please let me know if that isn't clear. :)

We definitely need to get down there and stabilize Gilwennen. Or at least pull her out of the passage and then stabilize her.
Naruthirdor could do it, but he couldn't survive more than an arrow and a half of damage of normal arrows, much less black feathered spear-arrows - friendly fire or not :D
This is a game about killing things and taking their stuff so you can become more powerful in order to kill bigger things and take even better stuff.

Paladin: I can promise terror, glory, and riches...or a quick and brutal death.
Inferno: Come on! That's was Vicar's Head, a completely different doomed village!
Rex: I can move to the wait list to let someone else into the game.

Good question. I think it's safe to assume one of the PCs on the eastern front will cry out and alert you. So please feel free to act with that knowledge.

Cure Light Wounds Gilwennen [1d8] = 6

Not sure how much I can do in a round, the healing spell is first priority.
Hi Rex,
That takes 2 rounds:

1. Move 1" and cast a spell.

2. Pick her up and carry her 2" or more, behind the lines.

Whoopsies. :)

Sorry, guys. I was being too literal and thought the fact that Gilwennen wasn't actually engaged in melee meant you wouldn't be firing into melee. But it stands to reason that a person in a narrow hallway with arrows flying past is apt to catch one... right in the keister. :? :)

IT SEEMED LIKE A GOOD PLAN AT THE TIME.

hedgeknight wrote:I'm confused. From the map in the post before this one, the body of the troll was near the intersection. I guess I assumed we were hunkered down behind it there, waiting for the Uruk-Hai to attack.
In your last post, it is all the way back to where we first fought it and the orcs. It doesn't make sense for us to move it in that direction. Wouldn't we have moved it toward the Uruk-Hai?
Hi Hedge!
That's what I thought, which is why I first had you move the troll corpse east. Then Ogre Mage wrote the below in this thread:
OGRE MAGE wrote:I thought we were trying to push the troll carcass into the western intersection to block anything coming from that direction. :?:
And when I double checked his IC post, he was right. His orders were to move the troll corpse west. And the dwarves posted that they were helping him.

So I replied:
Inferno wrote:Yow. Sorry. My mistake. I thought you were preparing for the threat from the southeast. Will correct in my next post.
And I did.
I hope that makes sense.
