The Gamesters of 'Earth That Was' (ooc and questions ll)
Re: The Gamesters of 'Earth That Was' (ooc and questions ll)
Hi spinward and wolfpack,
Fyi, loading the goop onto your missile weapon and firing in the same round will reduce your rate of fire by one. So, one arrow per round for Tullia. Two darts per round for Adrock.
Also, you are both firing missiles into a melee. I allowed it last time, because the monster was closing with you.
But this round, as per the DMG, there is a chance to hit friend or foe alike. The chance is modified by the total mass of friends vs foes. Given the size of the monster, the chance of a mishap is slight, but I did feel obligated to let you know.
Am travelling for work this week. Should get a DM post up by Friday.
Thanks.

Given the size difference between party members and the monster, I figure Tullia's chance of hitting a party member is lowered. One arrow per round is fine; the goo seems effective. Tullia is just getting pissed off by seeing her friends being killed.

can I change my action? I didn't realize it was missile into melee.

It is.SpinwardMarch wrote:Given the size difference between party members and the monster, I figure Tullia's chance of hitting a party member is lowered.
It doesn't change Adrock's outcome.wolfpack wrote:can I change my action? I didn't realize it was missile into melee.
Your rolls were too low to hit either friend or foe. So I won't need to randomly determine if your attack rolls are used against friend or foe. I hope that makes sense.

the shower heads.
are the fixed in one place shower heads or maneuverable? or are they the hand held kind?

Adrock sees they don't have a steel rope attached to them. They are attached directly to the ceiling inside the egg.wolfpack wrote:the shower heads.

Wasn't there a few colorful potions left over from the brain room somewhere?
Too late for suggestions?

Guys, our plan worked! We have now provided the abomination enough spare parts that it can complete its self-repair, and emerge, whole and sane, from its long nightmare! Because, as we had all deduced, this cybernetic wreck was the destroyed remains of the Great Wizard Xygax! And now that he has been restored, he will, out of gratitude, return us all to life, raise us up to 5th level, and shower us with magic items! Good job!

[deep sarcasm] Roll sanity check. Yes, I know 1e doesn't have that attribute.

Things got ugly...
I’m comforted knowing that Fiefo is now part of something bigger, though.
He’s probably happier now.

Would we have been safe inside the eggs?
If so, could you kick Chaka in one of them before........well, you know.

Possibly... if you had entered them without the thing seeing you. And remained silent inside them. It doesn't know they open.OGRE MAGE wrote:Would we have been safe inside the eggs?
