She was freaked out by the black knight, but the blood was so ridiculously fake, and she did get the joke, so no worries there. If she had nightmares I'm sure I'd have had the missus to answer to though. ;)
Yeah I did forget to mention the castle Anthrax definitely is not for an 8 yo. What was the reaction to the bring out your dead bit? :D

The 17yos loved it. The boy may have overly liked it because he’s the BF of my eldest - but I’m not that scary. ;)
The 8yo looked at that part cross-eyed at first, then liked it, then (it took her a minute to realize what happened at the very end) did not appreciate the end. :D
This is a game about killing things and taking their stuff so you can become more powerful in order to kill bigger things and take even better stuff.

Inferno: Come on! That's was Vicar's Head, a completely different doomed village!
Rex: I can move to the wait list to let someone else into the game.

MP's Holy Grail is on Netflix right now.

In the early 80s our group ran through "(Your Name) and the Holy Grail," a comedy D&D adventure from Space Gamer Magazine.

It was loads of fun at the time. :)

As someone who has played a lot of Steve Jackson games, nearly all of which had rules that were confusing, contradictory, incomplete, or just plain weird, I find an article by Steve Jackson on game design to be quite appropriate for this thread. :)

"You can almost hear the struggle" is my favorite.
Because I can hear the parents' struggle in the audience, having been to a concert or 4 like this one. :D
