Old dude
Hi there,
I haven't played anything since the 80s. I'm that wierd guy who didn't get started with D&D. My first game was MERP. I played a little CoC (2nd edition I think) and one session of Mentzer Basic which wasn't great (not the games fault). I owned Paranoia (1st edition) but never ran it. In fact, I've never run anything.
A couple of years ago I came across some of my old MERP stuff and thought I'd look into the current state of gaming and have been keeping tabs on things ever since, acquiring lots of pdfs along the way.
Yet still, due to my current situation, I've not been able to get a game on. That's why I'm here.

This is a game about killing things and taking their stuff so you can become more powerful in order to kill bigger things and take even better stuff.

Welcome!
On November 2nd I will be participating in another 24 hour game of Dungeons & Dragons as part of Extra Life. This organization uses gaming to help raise money to donate to children's hospitals. I'm raising money for Marshfield Children's Hospital in Marshfield, WI, and all money I raise will go to that hospital. All donations are tax-deductible. Please take a moment to check out my donation page below. Thank you.

Welcome to the boards!
It's hard to explain puns to kleptomaniacs because they always take things literally.
