return of Bluetongue

#1 Post by Bluetongue »

hello D&D gamers,

I am Gregory and I have had a year out in Australia. Can't say I missed the rain at all and they do play better cricket and rugby over there. Saw some crocs (on holiday) and blue tongued lizards (very small ones) plenty of Roo's and the odd koala. The other 'wildlife' were the neighbours though they lived about 1/2 a mile away. A year lecturing in University was enough and with families back here and visa up I have returned. Previously was on the site and I cut and pasted my first introduction.

Took my 'moniker' Bluetongue, from a bandit lizard man rogue in an old D&D campaign that I spent my youthful years chasing around the map of Greyhawk courtesy of my equally roguish dad. A generation later Bluetongue lives again to torment a new generation of my family though we moved on from 'red box' 1st to 5th edition D&D, (skipping 4th because it was pants!).

I live in Leicester, G.B, voted 'Brexit' and enjoy a few beers of pale ale, dry cider and tex/mex food over the gaming table.

Any one looking for a new player I can post every other day.

Welcome back Gregory!!
Always good to see returning members.
Be well,
--Ron--
This is a game about killing things and taking their stuff so you can become more powerful in order to kill bigger things and take even better stuff.
Alethan: I'm good with NOT pressing our luck this time.
mjulius: That's how I know I'm home.
Pulpatoon: The whole point of PbP is to take the scheduling pressure off the game. We're just chatty because we're so eager!
Scott308: ...everyone should be reminded of just how wonderful the people they play games with here can be in real life.
Leitz: Quality and quantity wise, I think US is the best I've seen.
Paladin: I can promise terror, glory, and riches...or a quick and brutal death.
Inferno: Come on! That's was Vicar's Head, a completely different doomed village!
Rex: I can move to the wait list to let someone else into the game.

Welcome aboard! Again! I'd love to go to Australia some day- so many awesome animals! As a reptile guy, that's pretty cool you got to see crocs and a few lizards. Blue-tongued skinks, I assume? If so, those are pretty neat animals.
On November 2nd I will be participating in another 24 hour game of Dungeons & Dragons as part of Extra Life. This organization uses gaming to help raise money to donate to children's hospitals. I'm raising money for Marshfield Children's Hospital in Marshfield, WI, and all money I raise will go to that hospital. All donations are tax-deductible. Please take a moment to check out my donation page below. Thank you.

Always good to see folks come back. I am recently back to the US myself. Australia is on my bucket list. I've been wanting to check out the rock climbing down there. Plus I love dessert climates. Hopefully you'll find yourself a game to jump into soon.
