Request for forum for Into the Unknown
Re: Request for forum for Into the Unknown
The 'Into the Unknown (Stars Without Numbers)' forum you requested has been set up for your campaign. You have been set as the moderator for your forum, and you should also be able to make 'sticky' posts. To add users to your group so that they can post in your forum, follow the instructions outlined here: How to add players to your campaign.
Please consult the 'How to make and find your campaign ID' if you're unfamiliar with the Unseen Servant dice roller.
Feel free to reply if you have any questions or issues and an admin will be able to assist.
Good luck with your campaign, and have fun!

Re: Request for forum for Into the Unknown
Much appreciated.
I'm needing to set up player forums, am I able to do that or do I need to request on a case by case basis ?

Re: Request for forum for Into the Unknown
Private player forums are something we (e.g. Admins) need to create. Feel free to shoot us a list of player (not character) names and we can get those set up for you.Gerrin wrote:Much appreciated.

Re: Request for forum for Into the Unknown
Will the players be able to see the forum GM notes?
Re: Request for forum for Into the Unknown
Nope.Gerrin wrote:Will the players be able to see the forum GM notes?
Just as a note, forum admins can see any private forum. With that in mind, you, as the GM, are the only one able to see the 'GM Notes' forum. As for the individual player forums, only you and that player will be able to view those.
For example, only you and greyarea will be able to view the private forum named greyarea, and so on.
One way to kind of test this is to open your main game forum (e.g. 'Into the Unknown (Stars Without Numbers)') in incognito mode. All the private forums should be missing.
Let me know if you have any problems or questions, but hopefully that makes sense.[/ooc]

Re: Request for forum for Into the Unknown
Could I get an open to all player forum titled OOC (Out of character chat)
Re: Request for forum for Into the Unknown
Instead of a dedicated OOC topic?Gerrin wrote:Could I get an open to all player forum titled OOC (Out of character chat)
If your goal is to set it apart from the rest of the public topics within your main game forum, you could always set the topic as a 'sticky' or even an 'announcement' type.
I'll use one of my games as an example:
You can see below how I've made what I deem to be the most important topics in my game as 'announcements' (e.g. Table of Contents) so they will always be at the top, above the rest of your game; even stickies.
The next level would be sticky topics (e.g. Character Sheets).
Finally, you'll also find that the topics are sorted by use, with the most recently posted into topic at the top. Almost by its very nature, an 'OOC' topic will remain near the top, but its position can fluctuate a bit: [/ooc]

Re: Request for forum for Into the Unknown
Is there a way I can lock a topic. I scanned the admin board and moderator options but I'm not seeing it>
Re: Request for forum for Into the Unknown
A topic? Sure, there's an option to do that just above the "action" buttons you use when submitting or previewing a post: If this isn't what you're looking for, point me to an example and I can see what we can do.Gerrin wrote:Is there a way I can lock a topic.
