The 'Into the Unknown (Stars Without Numbers)' forum you requested has been set up for your campaign. You have been set as the moderator for your forum, and you should also be able to make 'sticky' posts. To add users to your group so that they can post in your forum, follow the instructions outlined here: How to add players to your campaign.

Please consult the 'How to make and find your campaign ID' if you're unfamiliar with the Unseen Servant dice roller.

Feel free to reply if you have any questions or issues and an admin will be able to assist.

Good luck with your campaign, and have fun!

Private player forums are something we (e.g. Admins) need to create. Feel free to shoot us a list of player (not character) names and we can get those set up for you.

Nope.

Just as a note, forum admins can see any private forum. With that in mind, you, as the GM, are the only one able to see the 'GM Notes' forum. As for the individual player forums, only you and that player will be able to view those.

For example, only you and greyarea will be able to view the private forum named greyarea, and so on.

One way to kind of test this is to open your main game forum (e.g. 'Into the Unknown (Stars Without Numbers)') in incognito mode. All the private forums should be missing.

Once you log in, as the GM, you can see all the private forums; but your players should only see the one they've been set up to view.

Let me know if you have any problems or questions, but hopefully that makes sense.[/ooc]

Instead of a dedicated OOC topic?

If your goal is to set it apart from the rest of the public topics within your main game forum, you could always set the topic as a 'sticky' or even an 'announcement' type.

I'll use one of my games as an example:

You can see below how I've made what I deem to be the most important topics in my game as 'announcements' (e.g. Table of Contents) so they will always be at the top, above the rest of your game; even stickies.

The next level would be sticky topics (e.g. Character Sheets).

Finally, you'll also find that the topics are sorted by use, with the most recently posted into topic at the top. Almost by its very nature, an 'OOC' topic will remain near the top, but its position can fluctuate a bit:

A topic? Sure, there's an option to do that just above the "action" buttons you use when submitting or previewing a post:

If this isn't what you're looking for, point me to an example and I can see what we can do.
