The adventurers enter cautiously, checking the ceiling first. It's domed, with no visible gribblies lurking. A cursory check of the chamber reveals nothing out of the ordinary. There's some sort of relief or mosaic set into the floor, but there's too much litter on the ground to make out any details.

Nerith "Well we might as well check the whole building I'd guess."

"I will start with the door and see where that leads us." Drust moves up and checks for traps then locks. If all looks good he will listen and then open it carefully.
One Turn Elapsed
Drust examines the door. It finds no traps but notes that it is locked. Listening intently, he hears nothing from the other side. He attempts to tickle the lock open with his tools, but is unsuccessful.

The preacher moves up to Drust's side, torch in one hand, holy symbol in the other.

Preacher Cardicus
It would be good for the map. There's no point in splitting the party for that work. Let's all do a once around. We can then return if that's the best move, and Drust can blast the door, says the preacher, holding back anticipation regards the blow against the door.

Abandoned Building
Three turns elapsed
The adventurers circle the building but find no other visible entrances: no windows, no doors, no other obvious means of entry. It *looks* like there might be a decent-sized tree growing out of the building itself, somewhere in the eastern portion* of the structure. There is no obvious indication of what the building might once have been used for; it's of uniform construction, with no ornamentation or decoration.
*to the right, if the adventurers were to go back inside and face the closed and locked door.

Nerith "No need for us all to climb the tree just one could do so and open the door from the inside. The rest of us can go back to the door. We could leave one here to be a lookout until the climber makes in inside."

Re: IC I
It's relatively easy to boost Drust up to the roof. Once up there, he beholds a large, relatively flat surface -- it seems as though it is pitched away from the center, with maybe a 5' rise from the midpoint to the outside edges. The flat roof is covered in the detritus of the years; leaf and pine needles form a thick mat, branches, and so forth obscure what the original material might have been. Sure as shit, a twenty foot section on the eastern portion has collapsed inwards, and a tree is growing up through the hole. Drust can hear a faint buzzing sound coming from the hole, but can't see what is making it.Rex wrote:Drust
"OK, I am heading in, be ready in case something unexpected happens." Turning to Elerik. "Do you mind giving me a boost?" Then Drust gets ready to head onto the roof.

Nerith heads back to the door and keeps an eye out for anything other than his travelling companions.
