Keep in mind Telkis has double movement right now. He should go first, shoot up out of the hole and go speedboating across the swamp...

This will put the fastest first and keep the PoE closer to the middle, while still protecting those with high AC's.
Telkis - AC 0, HP 9
Pip - AC 9, 5 HP
Long Bo - AC 6, HP 23
Pelias - AC 2(0), HP 15
Grothnak - AC 3, HP 9
Brevos - AC 2(1), HP 13
Telkis - AC 0, HP 9
Pip - AC 9, 5 HP
Long Bo - AC 6, HP 23
Pelias - AC 2(0), HP 15
Grothnak - AC 3, HP 9
Brevos - AC 2(1), HP 13

Ale, will Pelias accept not being last?OGRE MAGE wrote:This will put the fastest first and keep the PoE closer to the middle, while still protecting those with high AC's.

Re: Lurkers From Beyond (ooc and questions V)
Let's all be last, link arms and go up the rope together.
But, for reals, story/character wise, I (personally) feel it almost has to be Pelias last. Can't see him not doing it. Grothnak, too, but, you know, paladin. (Also, pelican.)
Last minute climbing decisions are hard.

Re: Lurkers From Beyond (ooc and questions V)
Starting with OM's grouping and swapping Pelias and Brevos seems to give those two players (and Zhym) what they want, while keeping the faster ones unfettered at the top.

If Pelais and Grothnak want to wrestle for who goes up last, The rest of us can meet them at the top.

Yes, this seems like it would work.

Re: Lurkers From Beyond (ooc and questions V)
Pelias will want to go last, but isn't going to endanger the others arguing about it. The paladin will be much more insistent that Telkis not be the one to cover his ascent with arrow fire!

Re: Lurkers From Beyond (ooc and questions V)
Also, Pelias is the slowest in this group, I believe.
Also, re: the AC assumptions: Some of that could change, fyi.
If it comes to it, fighting on a rope requires one hand to hold on. So a shield OR a one handed weapon can be wielded, but not both.

Re: Lurkers From Beyond (ooc and questions V)
Brevos will not argue about it either way. if either peilas or grothnak argue they want to go last he will go, if they say they want to go before him he will go last.
my assumption was the 2 of them will both want to go last so he would be third from last

Re: Lurkers From Beyond (ooc and questions V)
Thankfully, Telkis dropped his bow, so there is zero danger of that.AleBelly wrote:Pelias will want to go last, but isn't going to endanger the others arguing about it. The paladin will be much more insistent that Telkis not be the one to cover his ascent with arrow fire!

Re: Lurkers From Beyond (ooc and questions V)
Grothnak won't argue. He'll just patiently wait for everyone except Pelican (
) to go before he'll move toward the rope. And even then, it'll depend on whether he thinks he can buy the others more time by holding off the horde.

Re: Lurkers From Beyond (ooc and questions V)
Helpfully collecting the rope climbing info here:
Inferno wrote: for climbing... I'm going with half your normal dungeon movement rate...
Anyone may help another (in climbing the rope) by transferring inches of their movement to that person... Only one person may help at a time.
Passing someone on the rope costs you both 1" of climbing movement.

Can I increase my climbing speed by employing my Climb Walls skill?

At least Telkis can run away faster now.
