@sulldawga. The apothecary does not have the time to do it right now. Check back when Drudsa goes to pick up the potion he is identifying.
Re: OOC
Marching order is ok with me.
I'd prefer there to be two people awake at all times for night watch. Too easy to have one guy overcome and then we're all screwed. Just stack spellcasters at beginning or end of evening so they can get uninterrupted sleep.
I like the idea of adding a treasure share for group purchases. We can adjust if it turns out that an entire share is too much cash for our needs.
With most of the parties I've been in, either there's a strong leader and we adopt their name, or the group's deeds lead to an obvious name. I don't think either of those have happened yet. Although I'm cool with Marodin's Marauders if we really need a name.
We could keep it simple and go by "The Nine". Or "The Bloody Nine".

Re: OOC
I think it will be easier to find a name after we have some impressive deeds performed. But a name with some humor wouldn't hurt
Thank you for the pictures, tk! They are really helpful.
The groove looks much better to ambushing and Tratiln's trap.

Bregalad the elf
Sorry folks. I have been tied up with business these last few days, but am back home now! Wow, there has been a lot of posts recently. I think I have caught up on reading them.
Did Meagnor take up Bregalad's offer to purchase plate mail armor? If so, I'll deduct from from his share of the treasure.

Re: OOC
I think he wanted to accept the offer, but because plate mail armor takes a full day to craft and we could not afford to wait, he decided to hold off until we return to town again.Finglas wrote:Bregalad the elf

Re: OOC
Hey frobozz, maybe we can convince the elf to assist us in our current mission. He knew there was an adventuring group here so I don't think we would have come on his own if he had ill intent.
As for a name for our band I think Bargle's Bane has a nice sound to it. Could have interesting side effects once people (and, of course, Bargle) hear about it.

Re: OOC
@tk: you said the hut is a bow shot from the trail, does this mean more than 100 feet? Can he leave his rations inside the hut, so he would move at 30' rate in the fight? He's willing to attempt Marrodin's idea of arrows and fire, but he's afraid to create fire to close to the trail and warn the enemies of our presence.

Of course he can leave whatever he likes. Also, note that I indicated there are places to secrete oneself closer to the trail.
Re: OOC
Tratiln will get as close as he can, withing 60-75' of the trail and remain hidden and will get ready to cast his sleep spell.

Re: OOC
Reminder: As frobozz pointed out, I do provide a lot of plot hooks. I am trying to be diligent about providing a short synopsis of such hooks in the "Calendar" thread, but it is y'alls responsibility to add any hooks you find interesting to the "Plot hooks" thread.
Re: OOC
I'll go ahead and add that plot hook to the thread. It's possible our party might be able to help Quinthos if he is still in Threshold when we return after completing our mission. If not, at least it provides us a reminder of what is happening in various parts of the country...

Re: OOC
I'm not sure we would want to piss off Bargle too much just yet, or give up our element of surprise (by announcing that we are currently tracking his activities)... But I definitely like the direction you are going with that regarding a group name... Something with a bit of bravado and good humor.zebediah wrote:As for a name for our band I think Bargle's Bane has a nice sound to it. Bregalad would like very much to help Quinthos, especially since it would not involve killing humans.
And 'Bargle's Dozen' does have a ring to it! But like Lanny, Bregalad would rather be more anonymous to the general public in Threshold.
Re: OOC
Lanny agrees completely with Meagnor's and Drudsa's suggestions.zebediah wrote:Drudsa the dabbler agrees and, in fact, suggests that we keep all the individuals separate, out of visual and verbal reach from each other so they cannot influence each other while the party questions each separately.rremedio wrote:Meagnor, the Elf suggests that one of them should be kept apart from the rest, just in case he needs to charm him to gather information.
The mage also suggests that we bring them back to Threshold on this same day, the authorities might have more ways to make these guys spill the beans.

Re: OOC
Yeah, binding and gagging the dudes pretty much wakes them up. That is not to say you can't separate them anyway.
Re: OOC
Next time we remember to cover their eyes too. Anyway, I think that separating them raises our chances of getting more information.
