Greetings from a Wandering Bard
Greetings from a Wandering Bard
Greetings,
I started being a gamer with a small, probably illegal, photocopied version of the old Holmes set bound in an orange folder which I found in my local library nearly 20 years ago. Since then I have played games in nearly every edition, even 4th, and run games using 3.0/3.5 and 5th. I've played and run Pathfinder since the Beta. I've also dabbled in a few other systems like Space 1889, Star Frontiers, Metamorphosis Alpha, TORG, GURPS, and Eldritch. I'm currently primarily interested in the OSR, more specifically Swords and Wizardry WhiteBox, White Star, Low Fantasy Gaming, The Hero's Journey, and White Lies. My unicorn game would be playing Rappan Athuk or Tegel Manor using Riddle of Steel, Blade of the Iron Throne, or Song of Swords.
This forum was made known to me through an advertisement for a game on Dragonsfoot. I have played PBP games before, but not for a few years. I hope to ease myself back into the habit. I can usually post once per day, and try to write detailed posts from my character's perspective. If you need anything further feel free to ask.

This is a game about killing things and taking their stuff so you can become more powerful in order to kill bigger things and take even better stuff.

Welcome, Wiglaf. With your experience in many systems, and high availability, I'm sure you will find a game to your liking soon.

Welcome aboard, Wiglaf!
On November 2nd I will be participating in another 24 hour game of Dungeons & Dragons as part of Extra Life. This organization uses gaming to help raise money to donate to children's hospitals. I'm raising money for Marshfield Children's Hospital in Marshfield, WI, and all money I raise will go to that hospital. All donations are tax-deductible. Please take a moment to check out my donation page below. Thank you.
