Re: OOC Discussion and Table Talk
Hi all. Sorry about the lack of update last night. I should be able to post one today.
BTW, is everyone still comfortable with the pace of updates? Not too fast or too slow?

Re: OOC Discussion and Table Talk
I'm fine with the pace.
Sometimes this summer I will most likely be participating in another 24 hour game of Dungeons & Dragons as part of Extra Life. This organization uses gaming to help raise money to donate to children's hospitals. I'm raising money for Marshfield Children's Hospital in Marshfield, WI, and all money I raise will go to that hospital. All donations are tax-deductible. Please take a moment to check out my donation page below. Thank you.

Re: OOC Discussion and Table Talk
a slower pace is great with me if a couple games are slower than others i am in it's a lot easier to keep up.

Re: OOC Discussion and Table Talk
I assume Boat 1 is the lead boat, otherwise Risdac would block its view.
Re: OOC Discussion and Table Talk
FYI, I don't interpret that as an action for this round, but as taking no action while waiting to see what happens.Inferno wrote:The Unseen Servant:
If Malibran's attack on the water that grips the boat is successful, the sensei will keep paddling against the current.
If Malibran's attempt has no effect, he agrees with Risdac, "It is fruitless to struggle against the tide." If others agree, he will start paddling with the current.
Re: OOC Discussion and Table Talk
Correct. I didn't know we had entered combat rounds when I wrote that.
Re: OOC Discussion and Table Talk
Round, turn, move, whatever.
Re: OOC Discussion and Table Talk
Yes, the monk would have continued with the current, but wanted to give Malibran a chance to try his idea first.

Re: OOC Discussion and Table Talk
Zhym - with a cloak of displacement, would damage be taken from that hit assuming it was a melee hit? the first strike should always miss if I understand the cloak's advantage correctly.
All - if we paddle back and get stuck again i don't like it. I think we should try for the middle passage. Thoughts?

Re: OOC Discussion and Table Talk
I forgot about the cloak. Thanks for the reminder. I'll update the post. Edit: Actually, Malibran gets hit despite the cloak. Oddly enough.
FYI, as much as DMs are supposed to know their players' sheets as well as the players know them, you guys have a lot of stuff. So please don't be shy of reminding me of things like this.
And to try to clarify a little more: it was when you paddled back toward the big room that you got stuck. You got unstuck when you stopped trying to paddle and/or smacked the water (which one made a difference, if either, is up to you to decide). So you're floating down the left hall with the current.

Re: OOC Discussion and Table Talk
This is how I visualize our current boat ride... my money is on we'll end up in a new area or dead. I give it 50/50

Boat 1: Do we:
- Disbelieve this illusion?
- Trust in good ol' Emirikol and see where this ride takes us next?
- Use magic to fly to safety, and risk turning into giants like Risdac?
- Other?

Re: OOC Discussion and Table Talk
Good questions - do we have magic enough to fly us all out of here?
I have a potion of levitation but that sounds like if I don't have help I'll just kind of float above the waterfall
I would lean more conservatively and go with spells/protection vs. disbelieve.

Re: OOC Discussion and Table Talk
The Unseen Servant can fly, assuming his magic ring works in Hell, or this nearest convenient parallel dimension of Hell.
