Howdy - if i rolled under my dex vs. falling, wouldn't then mean I saved? Otherwise, wouldn't I be penalized for having a high dex which seems odd. Maybe i'm missing something (other than the ledge I just smashed into, of course).

You did save. As you slipped off the edge, you successfully managed to push toward the ledge and land on it.
If you failed your save, you would have missed the ledge.

Also, falling over 10 feet = 1d6 damage.
