This troll is by FAR the toughest enemy that any of you have faced so far. It will definitely take some thinking and organization to take him down, as I'm sure you have already figured out.ravenn4544 wrote:alordan's crap rolls aren't helping any
It is HARD to hit an AC:2 when your thaco is 20.
In general, this game will not be a walk in the park. You will need to use your intellect, skills, and senses to survive, not just your swords. However, I assure each of you that there will always be a way to defeat everything that you encounter. I promise that I will never place you into a situation that there is no way out of. If you cooperate and think things through, there will always be an "out" for you in any situation.
I HATE playing with DM's that think it is OK to pit characters against impossible odds, or foes that they have no chance to defeat. That will never happen in one of my games.

Cool . wasn't expecting this thing to be so hard. caution and planning is the name of the game! Even more reason not to blunder off into the woods without some thinking ahead.
Bring it!

At this rate, we may need to pool our money to buy a monocar sized backpack. Near death experiences, 2 in 2 days. Is that a record? Is there Osha on this island?OGRE MAGE wrote:Raythan The half-elf looks down the beach the two mile walk back to Beachtown.

On the beach, obviously.
About half way between Beachtown and the river.

Almost. Just need another 30 of those, and I'll be ...three more of those away. Brufrig is beginning to think he should have stayed a blacksmith's apprentice. It was less dangerous and the experience and treasure would have only lagged a very slight amount behind what he is getting on this godforsaken island! And he wouldn't have ended up on a boat.OGRE MAGE wrote:Did you level?
Sometimes this summer I will most likely be participating in another 24 hour game of Dungeons & Dragons as part of Extra Life. This organization uses gaming to help raise money to donate to children's hospitals. I'm raising money for Marshfield Children's Hospital in Marshfield, WI, and all money I raise will go to that hospital. All donations are tax-deductible. Please take a moment to check out my donation page below. Thank you.

I have been thinking a LOT about the XP in this game lately.
Since the whole idea of this game is about character building and development, I think I need to figure out a way to get some more XP out to the masses.
When the game first started, there was a LOT of individual action in the private threads. We had 5 or 6 mini missions going on at the same time. But, with the summer lull, that action has come to a screeching halt.
I am currently pondering a few more ways to reward some incentive XP's, but I still think that completing "missions" will still be the best way to get XP in the big ammounts it will take to level.
So, can someone please complete an actual mission so I can show you how great that reward will be?
