I like this idea, worth a try. Or breaking a window... I would really rather just continue and hope for the best, too.OGRE MAGE wrote: If we have enough time to search this floor before the mob gets up here, perhaps we can lure them into a spot where we can trap them up here? Or at least lead them into an area that will allow us to get back out of here?
That might be better than having to fight the whole group, killing more possibly charmed innocents.

I posted under the impression that the potions would be used to revive the wounded.Mant72 wrote:Unwilling to leave Hoom or Avril, Ingrid looks to the others, "Who shall help me carry our wounded?"
Bo will help carry them if that is not the case.

Nah, I was pretty convinced that nothing good was going to happen either, but I was hoping it couldn't go to much more wrong though.OGRE MAGE wrote:Color me wrong about those potions.Regardless, I think we should continue searching this level and hope for the best.

This is a game about killing things and taking their stuff so you can become more powerful in order to kill bigger things and take even better stuff.

I was betting on the healing potion side. Inferno seemed to hint at it pretty hard, saying that looked like healing potions then giving us a reason why an evil priest would have healing potions.rredmond wrote:Nah, I was pretty convinced that nothing good was going to happen either, but I was hoping it couldn't go to much more wrong though.OGRE MAGE wrote:Color me wrong about those potions.Regardless, I think we should continue searching this level and hope for the best.

AleBelly's been traveling.
And his latest orders for Pelias encompassed two rounds of action (heal Urdur, and follow Grothnak).
So I will move things along. Thanks.

I don't like the quiet and how we are spreading ourselves out!
Hopefully we aren't playing into the DMs hands.

FYI, this is my absolute favorite race ability I think. Whenever I go the gnome Ill/Th route, it's one I try to use as often as possible, often to great effect!ChubbyPixie wrote:...but also begins calling out for any mice or rats that may happen to be in the building - it seems they're going to need all the help they can get.

"...they can also communicate with any burrowing mammal."
I never even noticed that. Yeah, that's a pretty cool ability.
My next character may be a gnome assassin/illusionist if the DM will allow it.

Room 14 has large stained glass windows, as per here:SocraticLawyer wrote:Urdur
OOC: Is there a window in this room?
Room 17 has high, small windows, too small to fit a human. The torture chamber is candlelit and empty of human life. There are large stained glass windows, luminous from the full moon, and two shut wooden doors that lead from this grisly, hellish spectacle.

People say that it is good to get back to your roots every now and again.
So, I will soon be making my annual pilgrimage down to the promised land in Lake Geneva Wisconsin. The very place where every one of these games that we all love so much originated.
That's right.......it is time once again for GARYCON!!!
I will still post if and when I get the time, but my usual rate will be considerably less than normal for the next 5 days or so.
I will be back once the excitement (and the brainfuzz from all the Spotted Cow) wears off.

I'll also be at GaryCon starting tomorrow, Thursday, til Sunday.
I'll try to post, but it'll be ...sparse. I hope to at least chime in, but please NPC me if necessary.

Moved this to the OOC thread:
He doesn't think it's moved in the seconds that he's observed it. But it's hard to be certain. The flickering candlelight makes the shadows jump with a life of their own.Zhym wrote:Can Grothnak tell if the abomination is real or another statue? Is it moving?

Goblin room 15 is empty? I'm hoping it is. We don't need more enemies at this point.

Re: They Who Dwell in Shadow (ooc and questions lll)
It's empty. Will fix my post to clarify that.
This must be the bunk room of the goblins that were killed in the bell tower stairwell.

It looks like Grothnak entered a room that is access via secret door. This might be a good place to hole up against the townsfolk, who I doubt know of its location. We might also want to break a window (if there is one) to suggest we escaped that way.

Hey gang,
I'm on spring break this week. We'll pause the game's action until I get back on Monday, April 3.
Avril, Mouser and Pelias, feel free to post IC.
Have a good week, everyone.

I so miss read this. I though Mouser was checking out her chest.rredmond wrote:Seeing that the girl is being helped and clothed, Mouser can't help himself and checks out the chest, to see if it's locked or trapped.
