"Heheheh... Long Logs..." Resumes his spot in the front beside Jack. "See or hear anything else, buddy?"

Jack, lost boy:

The enchanted child continues down the main trail.

Monocar
Resumes his spot in the front beside Jack. "See or hear anything else, buddy?"

"Nope. Just that lady creature that's following us, that we can only see out of the corner of our eye."

Krystal overhears Jack mentioning a following woman. Could be anything from a lost villager, wild native, zombie, banshee, dryad. "Perhaps one of us skilful ones could hide in the shadows a bit further up the track and then sneak behind the back of anyone following. Get a surprise on them? We then double back and catch whoever it is." she asks, not looking at anyone in particular (Bonnie) but searching for a likely hidey spot around a track bend.

Hold up just a bit. Lemme look.

Luther pauses long enough to take a good look at this side trail and determine whether it's human-made or a game trail.

[OGRE MAGE]

The Bear pokes around near the newly marked small jungle opening. He sees no human sized footprints leading away from the main trail, indicating that this is indeed likely only a game trail. He finds hoof tracks of some swine-like creatures and also a few smaller marsupial like prints in the soft dirt.

The party seems ready to move along when Jack mentions that he has spotted a strange female trailing the party. Krystal suggests that Bonnie someone take a closer look.

Yup, definite sign. Looks like javalina hogs- maybe some kind of coneys too. The folks on the beach will be glad of 'em.

Luther studies the trees nearby, fixing the location in his memory. He looks at the game trail with genuine regret as he returns to the group. Wisht I could stay and bag a boar or two for the pot. Hope this visit to the lumber camp don't take too long.

"While I dis-like being followed, so far it has been non-threatening. And any plan we might hatch will distract us from the primary mission here."

He turns back and studies the jungle, looking for the mysterious lady. Waiting for the group to move forward.

True 'nuff. Luther moves up near the front of the group, carrying his bow in one hand with an arrow already nocked.

Logging Trail

After hearing some theories as to the follower, Bonnie seems to make up her mind. She then starts walking back along the trail calling out to the guest.

"Hello there. You're very quiet, but you should come out and talk with me. I'm quite friendly." CHR 16

Jack, lost boy:

"No, if you look right at her, you can't see her," the ancient stripling called from his point position, 90 feet ahead of the group.
"Wait. She wants to be seen now. Over here! She's coming out!" Jack pointed.

Then, "It's a dwarf!?"

Jack scowled at her, angry. "Why are you sneaking after us?! And where's your beard?!"

[Hotgoblin]

Franny will keep her distance initially, she then presses her index finger to her lips and winks at "the little boy". She slowly starts making her way toward the group, stroking her hand-axe as if it were her favorite pet. Once out in the open, she will address the group in a dwarfs usual grumpy fashion.

The only one with any senses in this here "party" is this dotted-faced elven-childen. I always heard nothing would get passed an elf, lets alone 3 big ones!!! Why are you all out here? She stares at all of them, eagerly waiting for their response.

Logging Trail

A bit taken aback by the female dwarf who managed to sneak up on her, Bonnie has a bit of a frown visible. Recovering quickly, she seems quite happy to see the newcomer. "Well hello! I'm Bonnie and we are headed down this trail to a supposed logging camp."

Bonnie smiles warmly, looking the newcomer up and down, lingering a bit on her axe and 'dress'.
"Who might you be, and why where you following us?"

Jumps a bit and looks from Jack to Franny to Bonnie thenFranny and then each of them over again. Then he relaxes a bit and listens to the exchange before turning to scan the trees and foliage again, ever watchful for food... Danger! Yeah... danger...

Raythan waits, staying out of the conversation while whispering the Luther to continue on.

Me name is Franny Buurlslammer, but that shouldn't be much of a concern. Logging camp, yes...that's right I do remember seeing others come this way. She Smirks at Bonnie, then walks up to the freckled boy...I wasn't sneaksing, was watch'n to see where yous all were headed. Look close little boy, you'll see me beard, it ain't polite to ask direct questions like that to a female. Do you understand? She stares inquisitively at the party.

Greetings, Franny. Are you headin' to the camp also? What can ye tell us about what lies ahead?

[OGRE MAGE]

Starday the 20th of Reaping
Second day on the island
Late Morning on the Loggers Trail
Sunny, Hot, Humid, Buggy

Once the group realizes that the threat of the sneaking jungle woman is just Franny the dwarf, they continue with their exploration. Now they have a chance to get some real answers about this place from someone who has actually been out here for a while.

Franny mentions that there are indeed loggers up ahead at the end of this well used trail, though she hasn't seen any of them moving back and forth in a few days now. The group continues chatting up the surly female as they move north, further up the trail.

You are now almost 4 hours into the journey. I will give you all a little time for a some Q&A before we move to the camp.

Listens for a bit then looks at Jack. "I'm bored. Are you bored? Let go up a ways and see what we see. Whatdoya say, Little Buddy?"

Franny pulls a cloth out of her belt pouch to wipe the sweat off her upper lip. She's not as accustomed to this humidity as she'd like to be. Every couple feet she picks some grass and puts it into her belt pouch.

Listens for a bit then looks at Jack. "I'm bored. Are you bored? Let go up a ways and see what we see. Whatdoya say, Little Buddy?"

"But you're too noisy to be a scout!" Jack says to Monocar with the brutal honesty of a child.
"We want to sneak up on the things we meet," he explains.

With that, the aged elf boy scampers 90 feet ahead of the others, resuming his advance position.
