There are some great ideas coming out of that channel. Good job.
We need guys like you to extend our 'old guard' feel to the new players.
Not everyone will come, but the ones who do, will be embraced like kindred.
Rule system is important to some, but stories are whats important to me.
A good, worthy story can be manipulated to fit the charts.
I am currently looking for 1 or 2 more players in the thread entitled 'Inn of the Unseen Servant'.
Care to join and post a sentence or two weekly?, Or more if you like.
You can take over an existing stalled character, or bring your own.
AD&D 2.5, 2nd edition with Players Options,is the system being used, but dont let that scare you away.
As far as how much of the story you have missed so far?.....only the party introductions and one encounter.
So you can be brought up to speed with minimal reading.
This is an exceptionally welcome invitation, however the Grognard Games channel has taken off rather unexpectedly quicker than I anticipated and I've found myself a little short on time to put it mildly!
Thank you for the sentiment. We're gaining a LOT of viewers that understand BECMI as... 1e. They're having their eyes opened, not just in terms of how many editions of D&D there have been, but also the timeline involved and the differences. So many people started the hobby with 3 & 4e and have never seen these games for real and often don't know they exist. We also noticed that the YouTube community doesn't really seem to visit blogs or forums, so...
...On the other side, we have guys that usually wouldn't give YouTube the time of day coming over and watching, which has been phenomenal. Guys that usually only read blogs or prefer forums have come over and watched and subbed up for more episodes when we upload them. They're a whole new audience to the format, and being that it's like a video magazine people can watch what they like over and over and skip episodes that don't interest them. Hopefully something for everyone
I'd like to thank the guys at Unseen for the support. It's been cool bumping into people all over the web and seeing what the common threads of the hobby really are to each and every one of us. And we've already got several guys switched over to older games and they're loving it...
Thanks guys
Martin
