Have a great time DA! (so jealous)
North Texas is one of the cons that we have always want to get to, but still have yet to attended.
We have a lot of friends that go every year and always report that it is a total blast.
Enjoy all of the old school goodness!!!

Wish I could go to NTRPGCon. How was Milwaukee Con, OM? I wish I could've gone to that, too. Instead, I spent four days shivering in the wilderness, huddled around a campfire for warmth and just asking for Lyme disease.

Re: Unspeakable Oaths (ooc and questions ll)
Nexus was actually really fun this year.
We played in a bunch of cool games and the venue worked out great for a con. We hung out with the DGS yahoos mostly and some of the other crazies that you met at Garycon.
I ran an all hobbit "save the shire" game and it went over really well.
Funny story:
First thing I jokingly ask in my game (about hobbits and the Shire) is, "is everyone here familiar with the hobbit or lord of the rings"?
I was not expecting a reply of "well, I have heard of it but, I don't know anything about it".

Re: Unspeakable Oaths (ooc and questions ll)
Hey everyone. I screwed up. Sorry.
Grog correctly reminded me that Mouser doesn't have Hoom's weapons on him. My mistake. I'll edit my post and ask that Telkis' and Pelias' posts are edited to remove mention of the weapons.
Pelias' suggestion of a frisk may still be voiced, given the suspicion evinced so far (Telkis had already suggested tying Mouser up before I made the weapons mistake). Up to you, AleBelly.
And Telkis' question about Hoom facing the enemy ill-equipped can remain, as Mouser just mentioned that he stowed Hoom's gear. Up to you, Chubs.
Sorry, everyone.

Was this person covered in dirt, like they had just literally crawled out of a hole? Because that's crazy.OGRE MAGE wrote: I was not expecting a reply of "well, I have heard of it but, I don't know anything about it".
Re: Unspeakable Oaths (ooc and questions ll)
I'm going to be mostly unavailable until Wednesday the 15th. Please NPC Moogeye for me until then, thanks.

No, he didn't seem overly dirty.ChubbyPixie wrote:Was this person covered in dirt, like they had just literally crawled out of a hole? Because that's crazy.OGRE MAGE wrote: I was not expecting a reply of "well, I have heard of it but, I don't know anything about it".

That was weird to hear starting out though. The other players helped him out a lot along the way and it turned out really well. I asked him why he signed up for a game that he didn't know anything about and he said, "I thought the game description sounded really cool".

The above "held" action technically took place last round. So Avril is conscious with 5 hp, and may act THIS round.OGRE MAGE wrote:Bo
He fends off the creature attacking him as he clears himself from the base of the stairs, moving towards the fallen Avril. He uses his healing magic on the she elf instead, hoping he isn't too late.
CLW [1d8] = 6
Thanks.

Hi,
I'm going away for summer vacation. I don't expect to be online. I'll be back in two weeks.
If I can get online, it'll be on the weekend. So please reply to today's DM post by Thursday night, just in case.
Thanks, everyone!

Can Pelias' detect evil tell which door they're behind? When they reach it, they find another similar, brick chamber where spiderwebs glisten thickly in the lantern light. There are three doors, all shut; two on the southern wall, one on the western. The room is empty and quiet.
Re: Unspeakable Oaths (ooc and questions ll)
Sorry guys, having connection issues. Hopefully I'll be able to be back online tomorrow.
Re: Unspeakable Oaths (ooc and questions ll)
Thanks for the heads up, Star.
I'm moving things forward today though because I'm about to go out of the town for the weekend. I should be back Tuesday.
Happy 4th everyone.

Also, the module cover art for this adventure can finally be revealed: viewtopic.php?p=260371#p260371
Unfortunately, the copy blurb and the back cover still can't!
Spoiler-est packaging ever.

Yes. I can factor it in if they don't, as I did with the mystery mental saves.Zhym wrote: do PCs who are near Pelias and need to roll a save get +2 on their rolls from his PfE aura?

Moving this along. New DM post is up. Dave, I hope all is well.
Ale, the light source info was buried in the legal line beneath the map image.
Have a great weekend, everyone!
