OOC III
Re: OOC III
I've been aiming more for Malcom Reynolds, but I can see where one might get Yosemite Sam instead.

Browncoat!
Yeah, I can totally see that.
Just when you used "tarnation" it kinda flipped a switch for me.

Re: OOC III
Fun fact: my Mac auto-spellchecker doesn't recognize "tarnation" as a word.
Obviously it was programmed by Yankees.

Oh, man. I'm going to have to think about that one. The first one that comes to mind is Sam Tarly before he started kicking White Walker butt, but younger, with only the barest peach fuzz of a mustache. But this is pretty close:

Re: OOC III
That first one is pretty spot-on, if a bit too young for who I picture him as.

Best thought out description of us! Poetic, tragic and optimistic all in the same breath. You are the cuckoo's children, misfits in the place you were raised, as were each of us. Nature has a way, you see, of bringing forward its champions... One who never fit in knows no fear moving out of safety beyond the perimeter. Only one who was ill-fitted can know the value of home, enough to fight ferociously for it.

Wasn't the plan to scout out Town No Go next, not the orc city?onlyme wrote:Dandelion spends a few moments making sure her hair is fixed correctly. She listens to the bravado as she silently prepares for a trip to the orcs' village.
Re: OOC III
No, I think Strohd is the orc city.

1) Coward city is Alleborg
2) Wooden fort is the Sambord location
3) Strod is the Orc City - whether or not there's another base nearby is an open question, but if the base and city are separate they can't be more than a mile or so apart.

Re: OOC III
We were corrected that "Base" on the Orc Map is Strohd, the Orc City. "Town No Go" is still out there, somewhere south of the tower but before we hit the Sambords.
I think we all agree that we're not walking into Strohd.
Walking into the Goblin Hole was harder than we thought, and now we've added new players so we have half of our party at first level. Without Korok and Ilfirien, we might be hard-pressed to handle even an orc patrol.
Scouting south to find Town No Go first (with both parties, the non-sneaky ones trailing) is fine by me. I'd like to fan out and cover the rest of the area with the sneaky guys, too, so we have more awareness of the surroundings west as well, then north.

Agreed.
And yeah, we're a lot wimpier without Korok and Elf Bitch.
Hope Keehnelf's okay. It's been almost three weeks since he's logged in.
