How will magic-user type classes determine their spell book spells?
Hmm, I don't think this one was answered (this is the Character Generation thread for now

).
Here's what we'll do:
For spell levels 1 - 3: You can choose your total Minimum Number of Spells as per Intelligence
For spell levels 4 - 5: You can choose half (round up) your minimum number of spells
For the rest of your spell book you can dice randomly for the rest of your spells up to your Maximum Number of Spells.
No need to roll Chance to Know each spell. This should give MUs all the tools that they need to enter the Tomb.
So for example, if you have an 18 INT and put all 600K XPs into single class MU (you do have and 18 INT!) then it breaks down as such:
An 11th level MU gets up to 5th level spells.
An 18 INT gets you 9 Minumum Number of Spells and 18 Maximum Number.
So your spell book would have:
1st level: You choose 9 spells, and then randomly roll for 9 more
2nd level: You choose 9 spells, and then randomly roll for 9 more
3rd level: You choose 9 spells, and then randomly roll for 9 more
4th level: You choose 5 spells, and then randomly roll for 13 more
5th level: You choose 5 spells, and then randomly roll for 13 more
