Introducing myself here. I've played RPGs since b/x was hot from the printers, with a hiatus during the second half of the 1990s and the first decade of the 2000s. I kept following my favourite games online though, and kept buying books. In 2011 I managed to coerce my old crew to start gaming again and now we play regularly again and have recruited new players into the group. I also play in a weekly 5e-game online.
I'm mostly GM:ing, but love to play also. We have played a lot of different systems and genres over the years. These days, we mostly play various old school D&D variants and d100 games like Call of Cthulhu and OpenQuest. Genre-wise, it's fantasy and horror (and my personal favourite Dark Fantasy).
One thing I've never tried is Play-by-Post, so forgive me if I ask stupid questions in that area.

Welcome, Anders. There's a great group of players here, and I'm sure you'll fit right in. Lots of old school variants get played here, and it seems like there's a smaller but interested crowd for BRP too. I'm sure you'll find a few games right up your alley!

Welcome to the party. There is a pretty good variety of games, so you should be able to find something that piques your interest.
