The human's with their foolish torches also surge into the hallway at the ruckus, spoiling infravision (there is no explosion) and revealing a huge dead frog completely skewered by Ankhar's sword, Ankhar struggling to get his blade freed.

(OOC: the frog did a charge jump and first attack goes to weapon length which Ankhar has. Needless to say the natural 20 was a kill blow. We can say Ankhar just pointed his sword out to stop it and it tried to eat his sword.)

Even though the infravision was spoiled Rondar and Ankhar are not distracted enough to know there were two of these cold blooded creatures in the area.

(OOC: it can easily be pointed out and the torches reveal another pair of bulbous eyes peaking above the murky water.)

Two of you can make missile attacks, Rondar being one and the first to post an attack being another.

I guess Nuonne ham-fingers is next, taking a shot with the ranger's long bow, "spread the light," he murmurs as he looses his arrow:

[1d20] = 12 [1d6] = 3

From behind the group, Etruna tries to get a glimpse of what is going on. Seeing the impaled giant frog, she feels a twinge of remorse. "We are the invading enemy here," she thinks. "I need to make sure that in restoring balance in the village that I don't do even more harm here." For this battle, she decides to stand back and let nature find its own resolution.

Kraden waits nervously at the intersection, holding the torch as high as he can to get a better view. He continues to keep his eyes trained on the other two passages and hopes that his companions are dealing with the new threat in stride. "What's happening in there?", he quarries to those behind him.

The missiles from Rondar and Nuonne strike the frog, abruptly the frog leaps away in a splash to the far side of the room and disappearing from sight in another splash.

Intentions?

To step into the room is drop down into 3'+ deep murky water.

One thing you notice about this giant frog is it has fangs and claws of the sharpest sort. In other words it is a creature of chaos and out of balance with nature. With the use of his foot Ankhar is able to get the disgusting frog off his sword.

Rondar sucks in air as he steps down into the very cold water, your feet sinking another foot into soft mud. As Rondar wades into the area an infrog "croak" issues from the dark side of the room and then a splash as the arrow impaled frog launches itself at Rondar.

OOC: Rondar being ready for an attack from the frog will get to strike first. Make a roll to hit and damage if needed.

Ankhar curses as the creature jumps upon Rondar. He will jump ahead as well, trying to hit the monster before it wounds Rondar.

OOC: Can Nuonne loose another arrow or two before mutant frog melees? If so can someone roll for me? I'm doing pickups and etc now that baby #4 is here and the missus is laid up. :) Nuonne has no bonuses or negatives to hit.

Etruna stares wide-eyed at the features of the impaled frog corpse on the floor realizing the full impact of its existence.

"Such creatures are a blight in the eyes of Mortaya. I must remove this cancer!" Her knuckles white from their tight grip on her sword, she rushes forward, pushing her way past the others, forcing herself into the room.

OOC: forget it, back on line now:

IC: Nuonne let's loose two arrows as the monstrosity attacks:
[1d20] = 9 [1d6] = 2
[1d20] = 1 [1d6] = 6

The damp, dark and smell get's the better of him as he momentarily loses his focus on the light while loosing his arrows.

OOC: Crap, shoulda had someone else roll for me. Darn UnseenServant roller. :(

OOC: Did your 11 to hit include to hit bonus? And although it is large frog it is only of medium size. But we will let the damage roll stand if your 11 to hit included bonuses.

Viscata and Halmod stand defensively around Kraden, also curious about the ensuing chaos from the swamp gas filled hall. Eyeing the deceased frog Halmod says "What genus of caecilian carnivore is that! I have auscultated tells of many foul detestation but that seems an antipathy to all that is emendatory in this world!"
