Flicker's tackle doesn't produce the effect he wants. He is able to push two of the thugs away from the civies, and stagger them, but that is all. Raven, from his sniping nest, takes down the remain gunman, leaving only the two blunt weaponed thugs left. You can see Professor Perryton helping the two civies up, most likely planning on helping carry them to the relief camp.

Will Raven be the only one acting in this turn? Flicker's previous tackle on the two thugs was not as successful as he would have liked it. We will need a new action and set of rolls from him for this round. Same goes for Aether, Scamp, or Professor Perryton (if Pulpatoon is still with us).

Maximillian Arikas [Aether]:

After regaining his composure he heads back to to where the injured are & spots Flicker dealing with 2 thugs & the Professor helping 2 civies when suddenly shots went off.

He pauses for a moment to see the results of the heard gunfire & to gauge where it came from before then heading right for the 2 thugs on Flicker.

He will use an air attack to try & push back the thugs:

Elemental/Energy Generation [Air]: 30
Elemental/Energy Control [Air]: 30
[can use air to attack - melee attack rank: 60, ranged attack rank: 30, damage: 30 - create force fields, lift objects up to 1 ton etc.]

Air Elemental generation [30]: [1d100] = 8
Air Control; ranged attack [30]: [1d100] = 59

Sorry Monkey, but I cannot ignore the bad shots you've made. From your first batch of rolls, we still need to process that last shot, and then the first bad shot of the second batch....

[1d4] = 2

A shot echoes in the street... followed by a scream and shouts of panic as a civilian collapses to the ground dead. (Used the last shot from the first batch of rolls, it was a wildshot, out of the four individuals in the group, the first two roll results would have been civies.)

Professor Perryton is horrified to see an innocent die before him. While others would have howled in rage or joined in the frightful shouts, the professor sheds but a solitary tear, wipes it away, and picks up the two civilians, cradling them in both of his arms. Silent in his actions, he looks up towards the tower that Raven is perched upon, and stares directly at the hero behind scope before making a run towards the camp. If looks could kill...

Aether, having recollected himself, hurries to the scene with his abilities and creates of gust of air, knocking the two remaining thugs off of their feat. Their heads fly back, as if they've been punched under the chin. The thugs lay on the ground, their weapons strewn about the ground, and they lay their dazed for a moment, trying to figure out what just happened. One of them shows signs of trying to get back up. While the air generation roll was a failed roll, I allowed the attack to still go through considering that there was plenty of air around to manipulate.

Actions and rolls everyone. Raven's next shot is also a wildshot, the 10 that was rolled in the second batch.

Welp... was bound to happen some time... Raven wouldn't be too choked up about it though, long as he kills more bad guys than good guys.

Steve Sanderson [Flicker] & Maximillian Arikas [Aether]:

Flicker will try to subdue the thug that is trying to get back up after the blast from Aether.

"You ain't going anywhere punk."

Wham!

Brawn [50]: [1d100] = 56

Aether will continue to come towards the group focusing now on the thug that is still down to make sure he stays down, then help Flicker if needed.

The remaining thugs in the immediate area are taken care of as Steve and Aether coordinate their attacks to great effect. Professor Perryton successfully brings the the two civies to the relief camp but stays to explain to a field medic what happened.

As Aether and Steve return to collect the final two civilians, they are beset by the rest of the thug group that have been waiting in hiding. They have 8 men on their side, 4 coming from both the left and right. Raven, readjusts his scope and takes aim again at the thugs approaching.

I have Raven's rolls ready to go, just need input from Pyro and anyone else that wants to join in, or pursue some other task for that matter.

Maximillan Arikas [Aether] & Steve Sanderson [Flicker]:

Max says,

"Aww Shit, Not Again !"

Steve says,

"May as well be a Zombie Apocalypse here ! "

Max will use Air Attack on the thugs on his side:

Elemental/Energy Generation [Air]: 30 : [1d100] = 50

Elemental/Energy Control [Air]: 30 : [1d100] = 7

ranged attack rank: (30) : damage (30): [1d100] = 23

Steve will use his teleport gun to distance himself from the 4 coming on his side.

Then using Shell (40) : [1d100] = 43

Then teleport back at one of the thugs on his side & use

Brawn (50): [1d100] = 46

To throw a punch.

A few things before I use these rolls. When Max uses an air control attack, it is automatically a ranged attack, so you don't need to roll seperately for that. Steve's teleporation and ability uses should be broken up into two different action rounds. The first is his initial teleport and shell combo which would take one turn (usually need a roll for teleport success as well, but I will roll for you to speed things up), the second round is the teleport back and the brawn roll. Here is what happened:

[1d100] = 74 enemy initiative
[1d100] = 1 Max's initiative (didn't see pyro roll for init on any of his supers)
[1d100] = 35 Steve's initiative
[1d100] = 48 First teleport
[1d12] = 4 If civilians were first two and Max and Steve were results 3 and 4 respectively, Steve just got shot in the back again by Raven.

Enemy acts first before everyone. Of the 8 attacking thugs [1d8] = 5 of them are melee oriented and rush towards Max. Four thugs slam their weapons into the rich kid, dealing 10 points of damage each, totaling a loss of 40 hp/damage from Max, one thug misses. The three gunmen remaining, aim at Steve. Two of them hit, dealing 10 points of damage each before Steve can teleport away, totaling a loss of 20 hp/damage from Steve. One gunman misses and hits one of his thug allies instead. One of the one's attacking Max is now weakened.

Raven's sniper shot hits next and finds its way to Steve's back, again. Though it does not cause any damage (DM handwavium), it does disrupt his initial teleport. While Steve could not pull off his first teleport, he was able to harden his armor using his shell ability.

Thoroughly battered, Max has enough of the thug assault and sends them blasting bag with a gust of wind, throwing a couple onto their backs. There were five enemies around Max, and were all affected by the wind attack. How do you want to disperse the 30 ranged damage?

For the next round, I will be using Raven's next sniper shot (its a successful one, don't worry) and Steve's brawn roll. I just need pyro to roll his second teleport attempt as well as figure out what happens with Max and his previous attack.

I guess distribute the ranged air attack Damage evenly for Aether.

Of the five thugs blown away by Aether's gust of wind, three take some noticeable damage and take longer to get back up. Two of the thugs are on their feet again and charging at Aether once more. Steve finishes his shell, teleports to one of the gunman and produces an awesome uppercut, sending one of the gunman flying and out of commission. From up above, Raven fires off another round from his sniping rifle and takes down of the charging thugs heading in Aether's direction.

Far off in the distance, you can see Professor Perryton wrapping up his dialogues with the field medics and returning to you guys. He will probably reach you all in the next round to provide back up, assuming he doesn't get shot in the process ;)

As Scamp watches over the last two wounded civilians, and Permafrost in her near-collapse exhausted state, his hypersensitve nose detects chemical traces of ichnorite vapour in the air. The smell seems to come from the direction of the Rook Industries Plant, of this he has no doubt now. The sounds of fighting have also died down in the general direction of the smell, explosions being the only things frequently ringing in the distance.

Zhym, please make an awareness check for Scamp.
Actions and rolls please!

Maximillian Arikas [Aether] & Steve Sanderson [Flicker]:

Max warns the three thugs getting back up to drop their weapons or face another blast.

If an air blast is needed:

ranged attack rank: (30) : damage (30): [1d100] = 35

Steve comes over to max to support him, holding out his teleport gun like it was a regular one at the thugs.

The thugs are demoralized enough at this point to know not to continue a losing battle. What with the sniper from the above and three other supers taking them all on at once, it was only a matter of time before they realized the folly of their efforts. They drop their heavy clubs and pipes and make a mad dash back to the alleys they emerged from. The gunmen pocket their handguns and do the same. Steve and Aether's bluff works!

The remaining civilians are safely escorted back to the ASF relief camp. Everyone who participated in this event recieves 10 repute. The sniper does not get anything for remaining hidden during the whole event (actions were not caught on camera or reported). Permafrost stays behind with the ASF to help in extinguishing fires after getting a quick rest. She mentions something about gathering the heroes who volunteered for the sky pirate hunt afterwards, to help acquire some Vibranium and free her home country.

SCAMP's senses are in overdrive as he picks up the faint scent of Ichnorite in the air. He focuses all of his effort on identifying the source and finds that it closer than the group originally thought! Wait... it isn't from the Rook Industries Power Plant after all. This scent, its from a different source. Looking ahead in the distance, SCAMP notices something different about the sky. It no longer has its usual smog, but is now tinted with distinct hue of green.... the source of the ichnorite! Whatever is going on over there, it can't be good!

The sounds of thunder rumble in the distance.

Have at it guys.

That's cool, Raven doesn't particularly like the spot light. Being an unknown hero is fine with him.

Raven slings his rifle over his shoulder after the thugs make their exit, he will descend into the building, teleporting where he can't walk to stay out of sight as he makes his way back towards his group. Once at the main camp he will most likely stay out of the way unless directly asked something, moving out with the group as they investigate something.

He gives a quick eye towards the storm while on the roof top, nudging any of his group that have not seen it and directing their gaze towards it when he finds them.

"A most intriguing development!" the professor proclaims after adjusting his spectacles and gazing at the formation that Raven and Zhym noticed. "the cumulonimbus thunderhead has adopted a troublesome shade. I've heard of smog build up to take upon tainted colorations, but not to this extent. A radical sidestep to the current system of meteorology if we were to go about this analytically; my experience in the occult and extra-ordinary phenomenons, however, beckons me to reconsider this notion."

The professor approaches SCAMP and kneels down so that he is level with him. "I dare ask, my mechanical companion, do you know if there is any information in your databases that can explain this event in the sky? Perhaps the storm is emitting a radiation untraceable by standard sensory intake."

I can't do this character enough justice. Pulpatoon truly had a way with words when it came to the professor.

As Raven looks out towards the distance to study the clouds forming, he notices something odd about the storm. The lighting, seems to shoot down, not up, the frequency of lightning flashes becoming increasingly ridiculous and dangerous. The whole area ahead seems to be swamped in green smokes, explosions sounding off in the distance once again.

Raven recieved a +2 row shift to his roll, due to the use of his sniping rifle's scope. This still left him in the minor success zone, but know bonuses like this will be handed out at times.
