Etruna irritated that the appearance of these creatures interrupted her recovery of spells waits anxiously in the back with her sickle-sword eager to teach them some manners.

"Now if I can just withstand the stench this time" she thinks, still embarrassed by the weakness she previously displayed to her allies and friends.

Realizing that the troglodytes are very close, Kraden grips his hand axe as he sees the others spring into action. He wonders how many there are and if his companions will be pressed back into this area. Although he knows in his weakened condition he cannot attack, he'll none the less think to create a diversion by some means, if necessary.

OOC: I let the arrows go before the round and a 1 was rolled for initiative by the party and the troglodyte rolled a 6. The Troglodyte charges.

Your arrows fly but somehow miss the charging troglodyte. In the blink of an eye the troglodyte rushes and assaults Rondar with all the fury of his ancestors. The troglodyte claws, gnashes, and assaults Rondar, forcing him to give ground. The attack is to fierce for Rondar to repel and he is ripped and gnawed by the Troglodyte.

OOC: Rondar takes a total of 7 points of damage from the clawing and biting of the Troglodyte.

As this occurs another Troglodyte appears where the first one had charged from.

OOC: The party can make melee attacks on the first Troglodyte that is engaged with Rondar. Although the area is mostly covered in shadow there are no penalties for fighting.

The dark room where you lay is filled with the sounds of a vicious melee that rages just outside the door!

Ankhar hurries to Rondar's aid and slashes the troglodyte with his sword, cutting deeply into the humanoid's flesh.

OOC: is there some special result from that attack roll?

'These dark shadows hinder my soul,' Nuonne thinks as he shivers and attacks the Trog on Rondar with his mace.

OOC: can someone make the attack and dam rolls for me, I'm away from any computer. Nuonne has no bonuses, and the mace dam is 1d6+1 I believe. Thanks!
This is a game about killing things and taking their stuff so you can become more powerful in order to kill bigger things and take even better stuff.
Alethan: I'm good with NOT pressing our luck this time.
mjulius: That's how I know I'm home.
Pulpatoon: The whole point of PbP is to take the scheduling pressure off the game. We're just chatty because we're so eager!
Scott308: ...everyone should be reminded of just how wonderful the people they play games with here can be in real life.
Leitz: Quality and quantity wise, I think US is the best I've seen.
Paladin: I can promise terror, glory, and riches...or a quick and brutal death.
Inferno: Come on! That's was Vicar's Head, a completely different doomed village!
Rex: I can move to the wait list to let someone else into the game.

Here's the roll for damage: 5, if it is 1d6+1 then it amounts to 6.

The party lays low the Troglodyte assaulting Rondar, leaving almost no part of the Troglodytes body unscathed.

OOC: Indeed, you guys totally killed him and it is obvious.

Intentions for the next round?
There is only one more seen Troglodyte.

Ankhar will move on and engage the other trog, not managing to score a hit. (OOC: it seems my stroke of luck has ended...)

Nuonne moves up next to Ankhar, trying to ensure he is in front of Rondar and attack as well:

[1d20] = 3 [1d6+1] = 1+1 = 2
OOC: looks like my crap streak continues.

OOC: are we skipping other fighters who can attack as well? Though it may not matter soon if we continue to fall!! :D

(OOC: sorry, not used to so much action taking place over the weekend -- it caught me by surprise. I know Etruna was kind of behind everyone but she was ready to go to sword.)

Etruna steps forward to thrust her sickle sword into the remaining troglodyte.
Attack with sickle sword. To hit: [1d20] = 19; Damage: [1d8] = 7

(OOC: oh yeah!)
