Trust me, I didn't interpret the intent of your comment to be a slight on the game itself n or how I'm running it, but it certainly got me thinking.

I realize that I don't provide enough detail and tend to run a less "crunchy" game.

I'm thinking, for my benefit (and hopefully the benefit of the game as a result), I'd like to come up with a list of questions to ask myself before I post an update:

Did I mention this?
Was that addressed?
Etc.

I just need to fill in the "this" and "that" in my question. And provide a map. ;)

I need to get back to providing maps. I did a few for this game, in the crypt, because it was a simple, single location and easy to do.

In Foxmoor and Resurface, those maps were pre-built (or drawn?), which made it so much easier to use and maintain as the game happened. Foxmoor, because it was a town, took a long time no create. Sandpoint is even larger. It will take me a long time to fully map it out, and time is definitely a problem. Even creating area maps will take a good amount of time.

I'm still thinking about this, trust me, and will try to come up with something.

Honestly, since you are familiar with images... Maybe just sketch on paper and take a pic or scan of it.
All we would need is rough parameter, and general location of badguys and goodguys...

oh, and sorry Alethan... didnt mean to crush your childhood hero.

I agree. A quick sketch on a piece of paper and a picture of it is fine with me (although you could have more fun with office supplies - leave them out on your desk all the time and just adjust after each round; make your co-workers wonder why you have office supplies arranged on your desk).

I'm pretty sure the male seahorse is the one that carries the babies around...

This is true. As Kassal is off with Ciar inspecting the goblins, and there was no verbal mention of Eohannud's class, the gnome is currently unaware that he was a mage.

As for the next update, it will hopefully be later tonight, but possibly not until tomorrow. It's been a rough, cold day.

Not that anyone is exactly close, but it occurred to me while I was updating all the experience point totals in private, that no one except the actual player will know when a character gains a new level.

Another cool little perk of the private forums. :D

Agreed! I love having all of the character sheet information completely hidden from everyone else. One of the great features of this game.

Just to remind/clarify, the meet with Silas is at Ameiko's Inn, the Rusty Dragon.

General update:

I've done some housekeeping and, most notably, added a new 'Map of Sandpoint' thread. I believe I noted every place visited, but between the six different playear forums and having used Sandpoint in a previous game, it's possible a location was omitted. Unintentionally.

If you, as a player, know your character visited a place that isn't listed, feel free to let me know (and provide a link, if possible).

In the event a location was visited only by a deceased character (e.g. Eohannud), that location will remain in the list and it will be assumed that the character at least mentioned the visit in casual conversation. That said, any details of the visit or about any NPCs (except for their names) will remain player knowledge.

Going forward, if a character visits a location privately and they do not want the location automatically updated on the map, it is the responsibility of that player to let me know at that time.

Hope the map helps.

This is my mistake. I forgot that I wasn't using the same rule from my Foxmoor game where priests could memorize any spell, but switch it out for a healing spell if needed. Sorry!

Still, a night of rest helped both Ciar and Festus.

Just to clarify the timing here. Silas is expecting to meet with everyone after breakfast. Do you wander about town before breakfast while you have an hour or so, or are you ignoring Silas?

dmw71 wrote:"Suspicious? I am willing to pay, quite handsomely given the simplicity of the task, for some arms as I make my way to Belhaim. It's that simple."

Silas rises to his feet. "I will waste no more time here," he states calmly, but matter-of-factly. "I leave now," he says. "Follow me now, or consider the offer expired." he says as he begins to exit the inn.
This can be a group or individual decision, but the time to decide really is now.

How about a simple poll question:

Who will be:
1) Going with Silas? (Sylvan, Kassal, Sparrow)
2) Staying in Sandpoint? (Ciar, Fulp)

- Yet to vote: Festus

Please reply for your character with their intentions.

Sylvan going...unless he's the only one. Otherwise two will be enough for him if Silas allows him an hour to try to grab an animal companion.
