Re: Ch. 5: The Pillared Throne Room
Odilo musters his best dwarven accent and impersonation "Zere's nuttn' in zere eider." he smiles "It would appear we have but two more doors to try."

Re: Ch. 5: The Pillared Throne Room
Quinn will check the newly discovered doors for traps, starting with the eastern one.
Re: Ch. 5: The Pillared Throne Room
McCloud, at the back of the group is happy we have found more proper doors and rooms. Thinking that we now have the swept up disintegrated remains of the gold key ( maybe a bit of transmutation and we can reform it to open its' host lock), he has kept the dusty remains tucked away in his sporran. With Quinns last words about 'left' still musing in his ears, not wanting to leave anything useful 'left behind, McCloud will return to the 'depressed' room and try to retrieve the bronze key. Is it stuck in the lock?
McCloud struggles with this 'left and left' reminder from bard Quinn (ringing in his ears like some tavern melody). Standing in the hollow place, McCloud will kiss his index ring finger. It sports a shiny 'Ring of Jumping' and at the slightest movement of the block McCloud will spring up and away from being sucked down some huge elevator shaft riding on the top of the lift to the abyssal depths below. So before he pulls it out and since 'what no one sees no one grieves over'; this thief will turn it twice to the 'left and left' , wistfully kissing it also if nothing happens and putting it in his sporran bag for safekeeping.

Re: Ch. 5: The Pillared Throne Room
The Dwarf will visually inspect the masonry of the empty rooms from the doors. If he notices something amiss, he'll take further action after roping himself to something solid.
Re: Ch. 5: The Pillared Throne Room
McCloud goes back to the secret room and has another go with the bronze key (which had been removed from the keyhole when the scepter was tried). He turns it twice to the left. Again, nothing happens.
Urdak checks the masonry in the newly opened rooms. He sees nothing of interest. Quinn looks for traps. As far as he can tell, the doors are not trapped.

Odilo not wanting to stand around anymore wasting time tries to open both of the new doors.

Odilo busts one of the doors open. It leads to a 10x20 hallway ending in another door.

Odilo "Hmm well I have found us yet another door...." the strange mage says back to anyone listening.

Re: Ch. 5: The Pillared Throne Room
Skarlos was shielding his eyes whilst watching McCloud at work with the key.
"Wow - sure you were to be a goner there. Good to see you weren't, McCloud! Shall we join the others at the doors?"

Re: Ch. 5: The Pillared Throne Room
The Dwarf feels he should also inspect the floors, walls & ceiling in the corridor.
Re: Ch. 5: The Pillared Throne Room
McCloud pulls a face, kisses the retrieved bronze key and walks solemnly past Skarlos, when he gets up to him he will star-jump and shout "bang!!!" in his ears and then laugh. McCloud will join the others in the smaller rooms.
Re: Ch. 5: The Pillared Throne Room
Skarlos grins and shakes his head
"Ever the joker eh? Come on lets find the next pit or spear or whatever is going to try to kill us."
He walks round to the doors to see what the others have found.

Re: Ch. 5: The Pillared Throne Room
Odilo once the door in front of him is checked for traps will attempt to open the door directly in front of him.

Odilo bounces off the door.
Re: Ch. 5: The Pillared Throne Room
The Dwarf will give it a go.
Hm. It appears the Dwarf will give it a go once the die roller un-***ks itself.

Re: Ch. 5: The Pillared Throne Room
Odilo "What if we all three try it. Or perhaps just two of us at once? We may get these infernal doors open faster that way." the strange mage suggests to Quinn and Urdak.

Re: Ch. 5: The Pillared Throne Room
Urdak, after cussing the door thoroughly in his own dialect, agrees to teamwork.
Re: Ch. 5: The Pillared Throne Room
McCloud goes to wee in the corner, having a rather long wee he gently hmmm's some merry festive tune.
