Re: 6. Dawn of a New Night
Iluq double checks his fingers, finding no rings, "It seems we may have not found that particular treasure yet."

Re: 6. Dawn of a New Night
"Perhaps too this gorgeous knight of a brother Sergei is also buried within these walls. He might have some godly gift to bestow us adventurers. Maybe he is entombed in the family vaults or buried in yonder Hall of Heroes?". Agrippo suggests we move on and have a definite plan of action. "Strahd will come find us, we can deal with him when that happens as he knows this castle better than any of us. Ireena if captured is probably being wined, dined and seduced in some plush quarters rather than locked away in a dungeon. Do we go up, down further in, out, must admit it is easy to lose track of time and space in this place. "

Re: 6. Dawn of a New Night
At the mention of Ireena, Iluq's jaw clenches, "We should go up, that is most likely where the better suites are location and the most likely place he would drag her." Thinking everything over, "We are bruised and beat up, Let us rest here, bar the door which was already hidden by a secret door and rest, Strahd's minions will find us either way.

On hearing that Strahd plans on using you to obtain something called the "Ring of Amarra," your thoughts turn from the treasure before you to questions of what you might have brought with you. Only Castran seems to take an interest in the gems, at least for the moment.
Each of you checks whether you own a ring that might be the one Strahd seeks. Those with rings check them for markings. Although each magical ring is powerful in its own way, none bears any inscription that would suggest that it is the ring Strahd seeks. Iluq and Melampus suggest that the ring might be among other treasure in Ravenloft.
You continue to discuss whether you should rest here or continue onward, and, when you do move on, whether you should proceed up into the towers or down toward the bowels of the castle. As you debate, you hear the scrape of wood against stone from the direction of the fireplace. Before you have a chance to react, you hear the sound of stone against stone followed by a muted "thunk."

Robert didn't fall off the pumpkin wagon and knows not to do thing in the place alone. I would recommend for the arcane members to take interest in the pearls as they may find them useful items in identifying things or so I've heard," Robert says. Wait what's that sound?
Re: 6. Dawn of a New Night
Bragar - Yes we should rest here. Regain our spells. Whats that, Something is coming thru the secret door. He pulls his Mace and readies himself for whatever is coming thru the secret door.

Iluq rolls his shoulders, his two hammers at the ready, he strides to the entrance to the secret path leading to this room, checking the hallway for what is making the noise.

Fendt "Did not one of the newbies just go back to check Vorkath's items? I suspect he didn't know but managed to trigger the secret door to close on us."

Hearing the noise, Iluq takes hammers in hands and strides back into the hallway that led to this place. It doesn't take long to see what must have happened: the torch-activated secret door leading to the room behind the fireplace has been closed, leaving you trapped here! The wood-scraping sound must have been someone—or something—moving the furniture that had been keeping the door open.
The Sunsword remains dim, but it was more than 30' from the secret door when your heard the noises.

Re: 6. Dawn of a New Night
Well, we might as well get some sleep while we're trapped in here.
Tib will rush to the closed door and search around for an opening mechanism on this side.

Re: 6. Dawn of a New Night
As Tumbler discovered about two hours ago, there is no mechanism to open the door from this side.

Fendt finds a corner to sit in back in the treasure room. closes his eyes and sits as if in a meditative state.

Re: 6. Dawn of a New Night
Robert slaps at Castrans hands and says, "I don't think so. You are deciding what gems you take from us? Robert draws his scimitar. Either put them back are things will get bad. We just saved your lives and this is how you repay us? I should run you through where you stand right now. At the sound of the stone on stone, Everyone we are being locked in here. Come help us get out now."
Re: 6. Dawn of a New Night
oh chill out! None of you seemed that bothered. I did ask if anyone was keen on splitting the loot. What did I get? A flat line. A more unresponsive bunch I haven't ever been rescued by. We can always re-escape, I can shift into Wraithform and reopen the secret door from the other side. Not if I am dead however. says the gnome dismissively.
He will leave the gems as is now that someone's shown signs of life.

Re: 6. Dawn of a New Night
Fendt in his meditative pose eyes closed speaks up "Take my share of the gems little one. I care not for such things. If I knew spells that required such things sure but I do not. As for the magical weapons I will willingly trade my mace for one of the four new items found."

Iluq, "I do not need a share of the gems either, but let us not cheat the others that would like a share. We are in this together now, let us not start it off by creating bad blood." He looks around, "If you can indeed go through the walls and open it from the other side then I say we rest here, let the creatures think we are trapped, and then exit once we are refreshed."
