Iluq bestows some divine healing on Agrippo and Tibbius.
The gray day passes into dusk and then night. At 8:30, Robert and Tibbius are finally ready. The area behind the secret doors awaits!

Re: 6. Dawn of a New Night
Robert gets up and stretches a bit then says, "Thank you my friends. I believe I will be more useful to everyone. Let me mend some of your wounds Iluq before we check out the secret door."
Robert lays a hand on the cleric and says, "Let nature cure your wounds my friend."

Robert says, "I'll save the rest of my healing for later. It's getting late we should get moving. I must point out that the night is not our friend while we are here. I suggest we see where this secret door goes and possibly secure it if it has another exit and use it to rest at night and then take the fight to the vampire during the day."
Robert draws his sword and when ready, if needed he lights a torch to deal with the webs.
If able he holds the torch in his left hand while holding his shield as well. In his right hand is his scimitar. If not he holds the torch in his right hand.

Fendt nods and lights a torch I can move up to the middle or front does not matter to me."

Re: 6. Dawn of a New Night
Robert comments, "For a marching order perhaps we can have Agrippo and Fendt lead the way followed by Iluq and I then Tumbler and Tibbius? Until we can fully heal and/or secure an additional swordman?"
Robert mentally runs through his spell options as they prepare to enter the secret area.

Iluq nods at the marching order, making no complaint.

Re: 6. Dawn of a New Night
Robert says to everyone,"Maybe Tumbler should lead in case of traps and tumble to the rear if a fight breaks out?"
Re: 6. Dawn of a New Night
Agrippo will be armed and ready, grim faced but refreshed after a long night and losing a strong ally. Thankfully Gerty and the boys have disappeared away, hope they make it safely

Fendt "I leave that option up to Tumbler. As it would be his neck on the line."

You set a new marching order, take one more bit of healing, and head for the hallway full of webs. The fireplace is now cold. Even the last dying embers have finally burnt out.
Robert places the ornate torch back in its sconce to open the second secret door. Beyond lies the web-choked hallway. The druid, who feels much more useful now that he has adjusted his spell selection for the challenges ahead, lights a torch and sets fire to the webs. They easily burn away, revealing an empty hallway that ends at a pair of bronze doors of highly ornate design.

"Tumbler would you check ahead for traps and the door as well", ask Robert?

Tibbius
Following slowly behind the group, Tibbius will take the time to check the now cleared walls, ceilings, and floors as they pass by. He looks for any obvious seems that might hide another door or compartment in this maze of secret doors.

Re: 6. Dawn of a New Night
Iluq falls back with the rest of the group, giving Tumbler ample room to check for traps down the hallway and on the door.

Re: 6. Dawn of a New Night
Agrippo readies himself for action, thinking of more undead like wraiths who may just materialise straight through the door. Sunsword aloft and shield to the front.

Fendt readies his mace in one hand and a spell on the tip of his tongue. Nods approval to Tumbler "I've got your back Tumbler."

Re: 6. Dawn of a New Night
Tumbler nods ad takes the lead. He takes a step along the path before jerking to a stop.
Umm wait a sec. We better make sure that the door stays open behind us or that we can open it again. He looks on this side of the passage for a lever to trip the opening mechanism.

Tumbler takes the lead. He takes a few steps into the hallway then jerks to a stop. "We better make sure that the door stays open behind us or that we can open it again," he says. He searches the east side of each secret door. The secret room just inside the fireplace has a lever that appears to open the first secret door. But he sees no way to open the second secret door from the other side. It appears that the only way to open or close that secret door is by placing or removing the ornate torch into its sconce.

Re: 6. Dawn of a New Night
Tumbler takes out his pipe and starts chewing on the stem. We got a problem guys. This door only opens from one side. Lets say we get down the hall a ways and someone come in from behind and closes this behind us..... then what? We dont know where this leads and if there is another way out.
I say we try to bust the door.
