I am Robert a simple Druid. Ty for healing some of our injured. Both Tibbius and Iluq are poisoned. I will need time to rest to regain the spells to neutralize their poison. Tell me, were any of you poisoned by the spiders? Did it wear of eventually with very little Ill effects? We may just have to wait some time and they may come out of it. Let's clear this room and we can use it as a secure resting spot of it checks out to be ok. Using his torch he clears the webs, watch out for traps."

Castran shudders again. those crawlers got the drop on us alright, and paralysed and webbed us up real tight. It wears off eventually. We just need some time. I could use a rest and some healing for sure, and to rememorise some magic. We should maybe look around for any shinies these monsters might have collected. What's happened so far in this place that you have learned. Anything that may be useful to know?

Fendt looks saddened at the question. "Well we have lost our paladin, that poor brave soul may he rest in peace." he bows his head our of respect for the lost paladin. "In my time with these brave souls I've seen zombies and wraiths. As well as a Banshee and these large spiders here."

The robed gnome pats the half-elf compassionately. Looking at the poor dead halfling he understands the loss.

undead indeed. A dangerous dangerous place. But with three brave clerics amongst is things could look worse. And who is in charge I wonder? We seem trapped by the poison mists that surround this dark village. There must be a way out.

"I don't know that there is anyone in charge. Robert looks at the others, but I'm not opposed to having someone in charge. I think we are all in survival mode right now and we just do what the group thinks is best. You says there is a poison mist surrounding this place? I think we need to burn any dead bodies to make sure Strahdt doesn't use them against us too. I know it seems harsh but it's for the best. Let's get this place secured, burn all the bodies we need to and go from there."

Robert works to get the room secured and checks for doors, secret door. Tumbler can you check the area for traps and secret doors too? "Perhaps we can relight the fireplace and use that to burn the bodies once we get this room cleared", Robert asks?"

Bragar- My new friends does anybody else require any healing. I have enough strength for one more spell. Than i must rest and heal myself. He is still tending to the dark elf wound changing his bandages.

Robert says, "Here take a pack of my rations and hands it to Melampus Canon and Castran the rations. I must say that I am running low on rations myself. We need to find some way to restock our supplies while we are here."

Fendt "by all mean the paladin was our leader. Or so I had gathered. I think Agrippo has sort of filled that role as of late."

well I for one would like to enlist. What was your plan before encountering us? Mayhap we need to find a safe place to rest and recover our strength. I could help keep us hidden but I wouldn't be able to recover my own powers if I did so. the gnome says through a mouthful of rations. He thanks the group for their hospitality.

has anyone checked the outside of this castle? Any exits or entrances in the turrets above? Any recon around the perimeter?

Tibbius isn't sure about these newcomers yet. He prepares a meal with his rations and offers it to whoever is still hungry.

This place has been nothing short of a nightmare ever since we set foot in it.
I am courious as to how you all came to be here as well.

Fendt "Ah don't worry you will get used to that. I wasn't originally in their group. You see I was a captive myself in one of the towers here. I was lured and tricked by Strahd. Eventually they will come to trust you. I however am far more welcoming of any foe to the darkness in this place."

Iluq remains paralyzed and motionless, simply listening to the conversation.

Agrippo introduces himself with a smack of his spear shaft on his hoplon, "Troop Sgt-Major Agrippo of the Furyondy Penal Legionairres, my friends call me Agrippo but you can call me Sgt-Major", Agrippo will wink at his long term friends knowing full well what they call him behind his back, (Agrippo the Hippo, Fatso, Blackbeard, Donkey Kong some of the more salubrious ones...). He is well cheered that we have some brave adventurers and feels the quest has taken a turn in our favour.

Date: Nouluna 5, 1221
Time: 9:40 PM
Weather: Rain
Moon: Full
Location: Castle Ravenloft, Beyond the Fireplace
**************************************

Introductions are made and stories exchanged. The newcomers, it seems, came to Borovia with goals no more complex than a search for adventure and the desire for the treasure reportedly held in the castle. The three survivors of the spiders' cocoons stuff their faces with food—the spider's venom and cocoons kept them alive, but not fed.

Bragar offers healing to Fendt. The elf feels good as new.

Iluq lies motionless. The rest of you feel somewhat relieved to hear that the poison seems to be a temporary thing used by the spiders to keep their food fresh.

Status: Agrippo: 37/52, Tibbius: 5/10 (poisoned, slow poison; -1 to rolls), Iluq: 13/34 (poisoned, paralyzed), Tumbler: 24/39, Robert: 16/27; Fendt: 15/15; Castran: 13/23; Melampus: 21/30; Bragar: 23/42
Effects: None

Let us barricade ourselves in somewhere and lay low for a while. It's either that or retreat out of the castle to heal up. says Castran dusting his robes off and straightening his sword and dagger scabbards on his belt.

Tibbius keeps a close eye on the newcomers. There have been too many tricks and traps in this dreaded castle for him to be as trusting as his comrades.

You were adventuring with 2 Clerics, a tiny illusionist, and whatever that Halfling was? I'm surprised that any of you survived at all. We could have used another strong sword arm but, beggars can't be choosers I guess.

appearamces can be deceptive Young wizard, and we also had a noble ranger and another wizard amongst are party as well. The tricks of this fell place could just as well apply to you as to us. But I am not a bad judge of character, and I believe you all harmless to us. It would behoove is all to work together to get the hells out of here don't you think? Tangling with the undead is never a wise thing to do! And I will have you know am quite average sized for my kind! he says with a wink.

regardless, we are unable to mobilse far and are almost all weak and injured to some degree. Even with the holy blessings of our wonderous clergy we may still be at a disadvantage within these halls, even if we do work together. I for one will submit to a test of my spiritual leanings if you will also!
