Re: 6. Dawn of a New Night
Iluq Save VS. Poison: [1d20] = 6
Iluq takes the opportunity of the spider right on top of him to swing from both sides against the creature as it continue to try and maul him.
Dual +1 Hammer attack: To Hit [1d20+1] = 11+1 = 12, [1d20+1] = 16+1 = 17; damage [1d4+2] = 3+2 = 5 (+1v.L), [1d4+2] = 4+2 = 6 (+1v.L)

Re: 6. Dawn of a New Night
If Iluq is able to kill the spider Robert will cast Neutralize poison on Agrippo believing they will need the strong fighters support as they rest from their injuries and as they poisoned members hopefully recover.
If Iluq doesn't kill the spider Robert will again attack the spider from behind.
Scimitar +1 to hit[1d20 +1] = 7+1 = 8 Damage[1d8+1] = 1+1 = 2
Once the spider is dead he will immediately cast Neutralize poison on Agrippo then say, "Let's back out of here to recover a bit as he grabs Fendt and starts pulling him out."

Fendt does not back down until all spiders are dead.

Time: 9:20 PM - Combat Round 5
Weather: Rain
Moon: Full
Location: Castle Ravenloft, Beyond the Fireplace

The spider's face is right on top of Iluq. The dark elf can already feel the poison. Fighting stiffening muscles, he takes the opportunity to swing from both sides. The hammer in his left hand finally kills the spider!
Robert quickly tends to Agrippo. He crushes some mistletoe in his hand and rubs it in Agrippo's wounds. The warrior starts to move again.
Tibbius collapses.
Now that the combat is over, you notice four largish cocoons among the remaining webs above your heads.
Status: Agrippo: 37/52, Tibbius: 5/10 (poisoned), Iluq: 13/34 (poisoned), Tumbler: 24/39, Robert: 16/27; Fendt: 10/15
Effects: None

Fendt takes out a dagger and cuts open a cocoon.

Re: 6. Dawn of a New Night
Iluq casts slow poison on Tibbius as he stiffly makes his way to others, "He isn't looking good... I can slow it but I cannot cure it..."
Life is a roller coaster, if you don't stop to enjoy it then you may as well not even ride.
Re: 6. Dawn of a New Night
"wow that bite was worse than a night in Highports backstreet taverns!", Agrippo will thank the healers and cut open the cocoons, expecting either baby spiders to drop out or perhaps some unfortunate victim wrapped up. "why do you cry when you are caught in a web, soon you'll be eaten..." Agrippo whistles some distant merry tune.

Iluq casts a spell to slow the poison's progression through Tibbius's system. The elf regains control of his muscles, but they're sore and a little sluggish (-1 penalty to all rolls, with another -1 every 4 hours until cured).
Unfortunately, that leaves the poison in Iluq's system unchecked. His muscles quickly stiffen and he falls.
Agrippo and Fendt slice open the cocoons. Four bodies fall out: a gnome in long blue robes, a human in splint mail, a red-haired long-bearded dwarf in gleaming chain mail, and a halfling in clad in leather armor. The halfling lies still, but the other three, released from their cocoons, start to move!

Re: 6. Dawn of a New Night
Robert says, "Let me have a look at them."
Robert begins checking on the newly released individuals and especially the lifeless individual to see if perhaps he is just poisoned or if he can be cured.
"I think we need to rest up again before we do much more. We are low on healing capabilities and we have at least two more suffering from poison. Let's find out who these folks are. What got you lot in here", asks Robert?

Tibbius
Why would Iluq do that? Why would he use his spell on me and not himself? He lays Iluq flat and folds his cloak up to place under his head. Anything to try to make him feel more comfortable.
He then goes to the gnome in the robes and tries to clean away his webs and see if he is conscious. Perhaps one of them has a way to revive our selfless healer?

Re: 6. Dawn of a New Night
Fendt steps back to give the newcomers some room. "Tib I'd say it's the duties of a cleric they are quiet selfless and care for the well being of others over themselves. Illuq was doing as he thought right and perhaps his duty."

Re: 6. Dawn of a New Night
"More meat for the grinder" Agrippo roughly welcomes the newcomers, "did Ireena bring you heroes into this trap too?" Agrippo starts to question the motive for us being here, playing games for Strahds' amusement no doubt.

The gnomes eyes flutter open as he comes too?
"What happened? Where are my comrades? Who are you?"
Castran will search his body and recover his possessions, and thank his saviours for his and his party's reacue.
Castran Starjewel, wizard extrodinaire at your service

Re: 6. Dawn of a New Night
Melampus Canon wipes webs from himself and mutters, Damn Lolth and her araneae legion. He stands, wobbly and slowly, and says to their rescuers, Thank you, friends. I am known as Melampus Canon the cleric. May blessings be upon you for the rescue.
He feels Fafnard's throat for a pulse, checks his nostrils for breath, and then slays his hands over his eyes, muttering a prayer.
Then he stands and says, He was a good one, our companion. He looks at Tibbius, Now, I hear you have need of a healer. It's been a long time in that cocoon, I don't know if my prayers will still work, but let me lay hands on him. Then I must eat. I think we all must, for we have been drained quite literally.

I am Bragar Battlehammer Cleric for Haela Brightaxe, Fafnard was a great warrior and good friend. His sword arm will be missed dearly. Yes we must eat. It has been a long time. Bragar attends to gear cleaning the webs off.

Fendt takes a long elegant bow. "Fendt magician and fighter extraordinaire at your service. How long have you been in those cocoons?" he offers some of his remaining rations to the three newcomers. "You mention Lloth but don't fear our dark elf friend he is in need of healing and was poisoned by the damned spiders." He indicates as he points to the fallen form of Illuq.
