Tev Meren, Fighter
On advice from the elf,Tev calls forward one of the bolder-looking men in his personal squad and hands him the torch. "Stay nearby." At questioning looks from his men, he shrugs. "Have you ever fought a water troll before?" He grins as he draws his sword, and starts banging it on his shield as he stalks towards the dripping creature.
"You coming, Vanco?" he asks the cleric as he passes.

Round Seven
The three adventurers leave their troops under the capable stewardship of Severi and advance towards the troll. The combatants circle each other warily; the troll reeks of algae and dead fish and blood; its hair festooned with strands of pondweed. It regards the adventurers with dead, flat eyes full of a cunning intelligent. Though it bears no weapons it wears a glittering, golden ring on each index finger.

Tev Meren, Fighter
"I'll try to take the brunt of its attacks," Tev says to Thurgan. "You get in and hurt it." Tev spins his sword and licks his lips as he moves forward to engage the monster.

Thurgan, dwarf
Thurgan advances sword and shield readied, activating his power from the sword. "No let me take the first rounds against this beast as my people have been fighting them longer than you manlings".

Re: IC XV
Rounds One through Three
If one were to look up the definition of "anti-climatic", the fight against the water troll might appear as an example. The adventurers move in for the kill, surround the gangly, gangrenous monster and hacking, slicing and beating it to death in short order. The troll first attacks Thurgan, as trolls view dwarves as little more than fun-sized candy bars, but the dwarf is more agile than expected and soon the monster focuses its attention 'pon Tev. The warrior is able to deflect most of the troll's attacks with cunning turns and twists of his blade; it is only moments before its death that the troll latches onto the fighter with razor sharp claws.
The orcs across the river boo loudly upon seeing their champion defeated, but since it was clearly not a fair fight they do not turn and run, but instead resume their guard posts. The charging goblin horde is similarly unaffected.

Tev Meren, Fighter
Tev pauses, focusing on the ancient magics of his sword for a moment and asking the weapon to heal his wounds.
He then agrees, sliding the rings off of the fingers of the troll and taking anything else that appears as though it might be valuable, then helping to douse and set the creature on fire.

Re: IC XV
Tev sees the troll's greenish blood soak into the ancient steel of the blade, and a portion of the monster's vigor infuses the warrior.

After Unit 4 grabs the chest, Rhys directs all of the units of Division A into formation, headed south towards the gate and the approaching warg patrol.

Tev Meren, Fighter
Fresh from the defeat of the troll, Tev commands his men that they are to serve as the cover guard, should the other troops need to retreat into the safety of the town's walls.
To that effect, he commands them to better covering positions, clearing a path into the city's gates.

Round Ten
The three wolf riders come into the range of both elves and townsfolk simultaneously: a dark cloud of arrows fills the sky. The missiles fired by the smaller bows wielded by the humans fall just shy of their target, whilst those fired by the larger, more powerful elven bows land amongst the wolf riders, doing some small damage. The wiry goblins return fire, decimating one of Vanco's units of volunteer townsfolk.
