Actually it was notified to the others to come down earlier.ybn1197 wrote:Having notified the others of the tunnel, Arastor returns to the room where Canis is searching. Arastor will search the room as well. The room was obviously used recently. He will place the palm of his hand on each of the chairs to feel for body heat and try to get an idea of roughly how long the room has been vacant.

Rician Lockwindberg - Paladin - AC 3 HP: 12/14:
I must have read that as simply that Arastor indicated the opening in the trunk at first.
Anyways Rician had gone over & placed himself inside the tree tunnel & awaited a signal to move in farther.
Instead he hears the sounds of surprise & a fight, so Rician will move down in farther to have a look, if it appears
Arastor & Canis needs immediate help he will jump into the fray right away.
If it appears the two are coming back up through the tree tunnel he will wait there to jump upon baddies.
In either case Rician uses his Bastard Sword, well, for show in this case:
To Hit Roll: [1d20] = 3; Bastard Sword Damage Roll: [2d4] = 4 S/M [2d8] = 13 Large

Canis(Crow) Attacks the surprised men with the others, his aim is off due to the confined quarters it seems.
Crow Broad Sword, To Hit: [1d20] = 4, Damage: S/M[2d4] = 5, L[1d6+1] = 5+1 = 6
Welp... so much for our surprise round.

In the back of the pack with Zylax.
Whats happening down there? Should we come down or not?
She continues to look about in the darkness trying to locate anyone coming towards us.

Re: Part 1: The Village With No Name
Surprise Round:
it appears the surprise caught everyone off guard on both ends
Canis shoots an arrow right into a wooden beam near one of the men sitting in the room
Arastor rushes in and hits the wall with his weapon.
Rician rushes in hearing sounds of battle and is in such a rush he misses the man who fumbled his sword.
Shay is not sure if she should go down or not hears a lot of noise and simply asks Should I go down or not?
Zylax shrugs unsure what they should do.
The bandit closer to the secret door reaches for his sword and accidentally fumbles the thing around onto the floor.
The one near where Canis was aiming stands and trips over his chair.
The last one tries to throw a dagger at Canis and hits the secret door's jam.
filled in for Zylax but can change if needed.

Shay motions for Zylax to enter the stairway. She knows the fighters don't need the two of them getting in the way so she waits in the stairwell and closes the cellar (tree trunk) door behind them.
She periodically lifts the door just enough to peer out with her infravision. If she sees anyone coming towards the door, she bars it as best she can and alerts the others.

Yep! Go for it. This is one of those times that you can just keep on rolling. Shay and Zylax are simply following behind the action at this point.

Re: Part 1: The Village With No Name
For the record Crow was not using his bow during that turn, using his sword instead.
Crow continues the attack.
Crow Broad Sword, To Hit: [1d20] = 9, Damage: S/M[2d4] = 6, L[1d6+1] = 4+1 = 5
Gack! Now we all roll badly and get hurt from some simple mobs...

Arastor, frustrated with his poor attack, yanks his sword out and around, attacking the guard but unbalanced by his own attempt to pull his sword.
Long Sword, Attack [1d20] = 3 Damage [1d8] = 4
Why is the Benny Hill theme song playing in my head right now?

Re: Part 1: The Village With No Name
Suddenly everyone on both sides of this fight looks like Benny Hill.....
Round 1/whatever:
Canis misses with his sword.
Arastor misses with his sword.
Shay & Zylax hold the door to the tree shut from the inside and listen to see if their friends need help.
Rician..... swings again with his sword and misses.
Bandit 1 gathers his sword up and swings wildly missing Rician.
Bandit 2 gathers his senses and swings at Canis but misses.
Bandit 3 takes out a dagger and swings for Arastor hitting him in the left forearm 3dmg.
Round 2 or w/e.....

Rician again swing his bastard sword at the bandit that initially fumbled, this time it's a solid hit:

Shay
Hearing the sounds of battle below, Shay heads down the steps and into the underground room. As she leaves she motions to Zylax to continue watching the door. Our friends might be getting hurt down there and may need healing.
I will assume that it's close quarters fighting and that you guys prolly don't want me throwing daggers at your backs so.......if anyone wants a CLW just yell!
