Chapter 11: Anxiously Contemplating the Hobgoblins!
Re: Chapter 11: Anxiously Contemplating the Hobgoblins!
Borum:
Says, "Lets open the coffin and make sure the Kmarties aren't in it. On Wexley's end, there is a room with boxes and furniture but nobody in there. We can do a thorough search of it when we've finished here."

Idonea & Ewat:
While the others check out the coffin, Idonea and Ewat stay outside the bend to keep lookout.
They both have arrows knocked and are ready to fire. Idonea watches to the West, Ewat to the East.

Kormak:
Remains with Idonea and Ewat taking up a post with them still holding his 2 handed sword proudly.

Lutha Cee & Wolfram:
Lutha scratches his frazzled scalp and peers forward
Spotting concealed door without actively searching 1 in 6: [1d6] = 1
Wolfram looks out to the rear, while thinking to himself:
1. Where would someone most likely be hiding?
2. Should an attack occur where are my avenues of escape?
3. What would the best tactics be: counterattack, submit, run?

Dungeon Master:
Lutha does not spot any concealed doors from the spot he is located on the most recent player map!
So far i have Mort & Maya going to check the coffin.
Keep in mind the last 10 feet of that corridor was not checked for anything.

Mort:
Does check the last 10' of that corridor once they arrive there.
Trap Check Floor[1d100] = 86 Trap Check Left Wall[1d100] = 60 Trap Check Right Wall[1d100] = 47 Secret passages[1d6] = 5

Dungeon Master:
When Mort goes to inspect the last 10 feet of corridor, Maya stays back, Mort does not find any traps but feels the floor give slightly.
Next thing they know, they hear the now familiar loud sounds of a heavy iron Portcullis grinding & then slamming to the ground.
The portcullis falls behind Maya just around corner of the 30 feet of passage they are currently in.
Maya & Mort, are like "Oh shit!" & alertly looking for anything else to happen however there is nothing at the moment.
Of course Mr. Choe sees the portcullis fall.

Lutha Cee:
Upon hearing the portcullis rattle down, exclaims "Ye gods! A chain is stranger than fiction" and walks up there, getting ready to once again cast his spell Enlarge, in reverse: Shrink on the portcullis

Kormak & Mort:
Mort lets out a heavy sigh "Figures. Sorry Maya."
Kormak if he hears the loud familiar portcullis sound rushes off to where Mort and Maya went. "Damn it all not again!"

Re: Chapter 11: Anxiously Contemplating the Hobgoblins!
Dungeon Master:
Lutha only needs one segment of time to cast the shrink spell on the portcullis, which then shrinks & sends it back into the groove fro whence it came.
You have about 10 minutes before the portcullis comes crashing down again unless the locking mechanism is reset again.
Thus you have time for a look at the coffin if you wish.
The portcullis certainly made enough of a racquet, that it could alarm guards, however this time none appear to be coming to engage the intruders.

Maya:
Maya simply just pats Mort on the back, "Happens to the best of us." Not wanting to be caught by that kind of trap again however Maya walks back out to the rest of the group before it falls again.

Mort does not find any trap on the Coffin.
Will he call someone else over that can look or will he risk trying to open the coffin himself.
Let's say 5 minutes have passed.

Ok, on that note, everyone is now either gathered at the intersection or still down the passage.

Dungeon Master:
On that note, as Mort backed away, Borum comes over & opens the coffin to reveal what appears to be a
sleeping vampire similar in looks to the classic, Nosferatu.
A bald man with dead white skin dressed in in formal clothing, with his arms crossed over his chests, his elongated fingers ending in claws.
Remember you are doing this all in five minutes prior to the Shrink Spell ending.
