Part 1: The Village With No Name
Re: Part 1: The Village With No Name
Rician Lockwindberg - Paladin - AC 3 HP: 12/14:
Is the front of the house facing where the '9' is or is it facing Northwest?
If facing the Northwest:
"Ok, there are 3 of you with ranged weapons, looks like we take out the circling guard while he is opposite the one by the bare tree & front door guards."
"Then take out the guard by the tree, then finally the 2 by the front door."

Re: Part 1: The Village With No Name
Being that the module was not designed with a compass I've been saying the top of the image is North, so the entrance to the home is facing NW that one side of the house is where the entrance is. For my sake and everyone elses call the 9 the front door.

Re: Part 1: The Village With No Name
sorry my bad. but yes lets call that the front of the house the back faces the largest tree in the town that oddly has a guard. Makes one think there might be something of interest there.

Alright Folks lets get this battle on the road unless everyone just wishes to disband the game now. If that is the case lets hear it now so I can close the game off and get it archived so everyone can move on to greener fields of adventure.

Re: Part 1: The Village With No Name
I'm up for finishing it. Crow needs to finish his contract after all!
Canis(Crow) will sneak into position behind one of the adjacent buildings, picking his target out among the guard and awaiting the signal to strike. He bow is knocked and aimed at the guard patrolling, waiting for a time when he is not in sight of the others.

Arastor positions himself to keep an eye on the two guards at the front door. He readies two arrows and prepares to shoot one at each guard knowing that the magic of his bow will double the arrows in flight.

Shay stays close to the fighters. She will use the 2 MMs from her staff on any guard(s) that still stands after being shot with arrows in hopes of finishing them off before they can raise the alarm.

Re: Part 1: The Village With No Name
So... whats the signal? Since my target is the one moving should I just fire when he is a good distance away from the other guards and let that be a signal to everyone to try and take them down?

Re: Part 1: The Village With No Name
And now we see if I fudge everything up with my rolls
Crow takes careful aim at the guard making his rounds, once he gets to a spot at the house that is somewhat hidden from both the guard at the tree and the door guards Canis(Crow) Lets loose an arrow, hopefully hitting the mans throat and silencing him with the first shot.
Crow Long Bow: [1d20+2] = 17+2 = 19, Damage: S/M[1d6] = 5, L[1d6] = 1
Wooo!!!! I was scared for a second there. Wished I had rolled a 20 for that double damage though...

Once Crow lets loose with his arrow, Arastor fires at the two guards lining the door.
Guard #1: Bow of Doubling: Hit: [1d20] = 16 Damage: [1d8] = 7 & Hit: [1d20] = 16 Damage: [1d8] = 8 15 total.
Guard #2: Bow of Doubling: Hit: [1d20] = 15 Damage: [1d8] = 4 & Hit: [1d20] = 14 Damage: [1d8] = 3

Re: Part 1: The Village With No Name
I'll put up a map with the guards positions to better illustrate the battle that is forth coming.

Rician Lockwindberg - Paladin - AC 3 HP: 12/14:
Rician will rush in from his hiding spot to fight any guards left around the front door.
Since it appears the ranged weapons users can get another volley off, as of yet, he will await until then to see the results before committing to charge those around the front door.
