Merthyr

upon hearing Adel saying
"although I don't advocate murdering these dogmen, I don't trust them either (...) we should gag them so they can't alert others to our presence."
suggests: "How about I hum them a soothing lullaby? Or is that a waste of spellcasting"

Trendt asks the kobolds if they would attack the town again if released. The one that speaks looks up at him. "We only follow orders here. We would leave and not come back again. Go find new home elsewhere. Attacking town is bad?"

Llewellyn picks up one of the kobolds' rusty daggers and scrapes some of the moss off of the wall, revealing solid stone carved out by water. The stone is smooth like river rock, but grainy enough to climb on, however it seems to be solid stone without any tampering.

The one kobold that is speaking tries to understand the conversation going on between the party members, but he doesn't have a full grasp of their tongue. Still he knows a few words here and there, so he mixes common with kobold when speaking to them. He points to the room west beyond the dark corridor. "You want goblins?" He points behind the party down the eastern corridor to where his companions are hiding. "You want other koblds?" Still confused as to what these creatures want, he holds up his hand, which holds the large patch of moss. "You want moss? He looks a little confused.

The kobolds are then gagged by Adel with fabric from his green robe. The quiet kobold still holds up the handful of moss with questioning eyes.

The wooden door with iron slats and hinges in the west wall of the last kobold guard room has two huge statues that have been tilted to lean up against it. Each one looks to be 400 pounds. There is some old, broken up rope on the floor beside the statues.

Merthyr can sing to them if he likes. They seem receptive enough. Might help relax the poor things.

Trendt in kobold to the kobolds "Yes attack town bad. For that normally we'd have you killed. But I am a holy dwarf I allow you to live. But be warned if you are caught attacking any town I'll come lookin for ya and do what I did to your friends earlier. Now go on get the hell outta here. Run before my friends change their minds."

Sammy the Barbarian

"Fine, I'll do it myself. Who's got some rope?" Sammy waits for some rope before tying the two kobolds up. He leaves about 8" of rope between their legs. Just enough so they can walk in baby steps, but not run. Then he ties their waists together with a 2" space between them. "The best solution I think."

"Agreed Sammy! And Biblo has sound advice. Let's route out the rest of the kobolds before doing anything else. They are the ones that are loose."

The kobolds find themselves extremely confused as first they are told they may go free, then are promptly tied together. They don't make a fuss over it, however, but one continues to hold up the handful of moss to Llewellyn.

Which direction next? West into the last guard room or north toward spider lairs and statue gods?

Fanzyl-Ranger says Yes lets hunt down the rest of these kobolds and feed them to the moss. He glares at the 2 tied up kobolds and then tosses the dead kobold he brought into the room moss.

Gwennethel, Elf Druid

"I think west are the locked up goblins and north are the Kobolds. After the entrance the first right seems to be spiders. If we are leaving them alone for now, don't make a lot of noise by the entrance to that room as we go past it. If we go back to the Kobold barracks where the iron cage was...where we found Fanxyl... we have Kobolds locked up but they may have another route out to ambush us. If everyone thinks there is no other exit/secret door for them, then we might be safe going after spiders. The wish of the majority is good enough for me." To Biblo, Gwennethel says, "correct me if wrong...I think those were the directions the Kobolds told us. I think we could get a better idea by asking the Kobolds to draw us a map.".

SlyFox wrote:He points to the secret door that the party has just entered through. "There is a secret door in the room beside our supply room and another further north past big spider lairs. You go north and keep going past lairs and you find a room with statues of our gods. Keep going past that room and you find the last hallway to north with a door in the west side. Go through door and keep going west. There is a another door to left side of hall going west that leads nowhere, so keep to right. All rooms are empty, but way west, far, is secret door when it looks like you reach a dead end. Lever behind torch on stone wall. Used to be great wizard's room. This is what we learned from the goblins. They kill great wizard long, long ago with poisons. He worshiped same gods we do. Statue gods were his."
Biblo reviews his notes from the kobold's description and roughs out a map.
Can you extend your map sly?

As he and the party favor continuing to press the attack on the kobolds, Adel lifts his lantern to illuminate the path forward.

Trendt at this stage just continues to follow Sammy's lead.

Sammy the Barbarian

"Someone keep an eye on these two. Are we ready?"
he asks as he move to the door.

OOC: Assuming we are ready.....

Sammy, sword in hand, throws open the door and rushes in to give himself room to swing and to allow additional party members in.

Biblo draws up a rough map, trying to keep within the dimensions they've already seen within this cave. Things get fuzzy to the northwest, so he leaves that part blank, only writing that there are many rooms and too keep a look out for a room that appears to be a dead end when searching for another secret door.

The two kobolds are tied up together, but able to walk if they are careful. They are placed somewhere in the middle of the party, which stands in the moss room.

Sammy, Trendt and Fanxyl are in the last kobold guard room to the west where they have run into a door that is being blocked by two very large, very heavy statues leaned up against it. Each statue appears to be at least 400 pounds. There is some broken rope laying near the statues and there is a worn wooden table in this room surrounded by worn wooden chairs.

"Wait, Sammy!" cries Adel the monk, looking confused. "Isn't this blocked door the way to the goblins? I thought we agreed to finish off the kobolds first. They should be near the barracks, judging by this map..."
