Trendt asks the kobolds if they would attack the town again if released. The one that speaks looks up at him.
"We only follow orders here. We would leave and not come back again. Go find new home elsewhere. Attacking town is bad?"
Llewellyn picks up one of the kobolds' rusty daggers and scrapes some of the moss off of the wall, revealing solid stone carved out by water. The stone is smooth like river rock, but grainy enough to climb on, however it seems to be solid stone without any tampering.
The one kobold that is speaking tries to understand the conversation going on between the party members, but he doesn't have a full grasp of their tongue. Still he knows a few words here and there, so he mixes common with kobold when speaking to them. He points to the room west beyond the dark corridor.
"You want goblins?" He points behind the party down the eastern corridor to where his companions are hiding.
"You want other koblds?" Still confused as to what these creatures want, he holds up his hand, which holds the large patch of moss.
"You want moss? He looks a little confused.
The kobolds are then gagged by Adel with fabric from his green robe. The quiet kobold still holds up the handful of moss with questioning eyes.
The wooden door with iron slats and hinges in the west wall of the last kobold guard room has two huge statues that have been tilted to lean up against it. Each one looks to be 400 pounds. There is some old, broken up rope on the floor beside the statues.
Merthyr can sing to them if he likes. They seem receptive enough. Might help relax the poor things.
