Choe thinks he can do a better job with the floor:[1d100] = 76
Are we lit by torch or lantern? should we be?

Dungeon Master:
Mr. Choe of course does not find any traps.
It is dark here as there are no wall scones with torches in them.
Just to clarify, when Mort & Wexley turn left, is this Mort's actual left which would be towards the y-intersection or the map's left which would be the north/south T-intersection?

Mort lit a torch and is carrying it.

The "Y" intersection. The "T" would have us defending multiple directions at once

Re: Chapter 9: The Cave Exploring Continues
Wexley stops Mort with a hand to his chest.
Listen Hear Noise [1d100] = 79
Hearing nothing, he signals Borum and Maya forward,
"I think that the remaining area is clear. With as many signs of traffic as we've seen, it is likely they would only set traps at the choke points or splits in the passages."
"I recommend we have 2 individuals take and cover the west passage, 2 the south, have the main group head down this way and then the others fall in behind."
"This way we are not likely going to be ambushed without preparation and the fighters are ready to engage."
He looks to Borum for his decision "Unless, you want Mort and I to continue checking...but be aware it will slow our progress immensely."
Not sure how folks want to set up marching order, but I would suggest fighters moving to the front, one fighter and perhaps Mr. Choe on one passageway, another fighter and maybe a cleric or ranged weapon user on the other...Wexley can combine with him if no one is interested.

Re: Chapter 9: The Cave Exploring Continues
Borum "best only check at intervals where it is a logical trap placement. Kormak Victor and I can cover the passage straight as look outs Ewat, Opal and Wolfrum cover the one to the east since Ewat is closest. Everyone else can fill in behind Mort and Wexley or line up with use at either of the two other passages back here." Borum then moves up into his position.
Kormak moves up into his position.
Morts awaits all the new formation and does a listen check as well Thief Skill Checks[1d100] = 18

Wexley:
Pause for the cause here folks...but looking at the front...we have Wexley (which is max hp for thief/illusionist) so I don't mind, but we also have Mort (who last time I saw was down to 1 hp).
Do you think we might move up 2 fighters into the line of defense with better ability to combat and defend? Might we also have a status check of HP and spells?
Wexley recovered his color spray and is down only a few arrows, his caltrops and his chili powder concoction.
Wexley looks at the shuffling of party members and taking the brave Mort by the shoulder, nods to him and directs him back to the middle while signaling another to come forward before continuing on down the passageway.
He takes only the briefest of moments while the party reassembles to change to a dagger in his left hand and a pinch of waxed colored sand in the other.

Dungeon Master:
Sister Opal Healed Mort back up to full health when you all were back at camp after the Orc cave battle. He got speared twice in there i believe.
Whom is switching with Mort? Maya?
After that, Wexley & Maya move up 10 feet?

Whereever Maya goes, Wolfram follows (unless physically restrained, or ordered otherwise by group leader)

Re: Chapter 9: The Cave Exploring Continues
That is fine if Wolfrum does so long as we keep at least 3 people on the other two tunnel passages.

Re: Chapter 9: The Cave Exploring Continues
The group rearranged, Wexley will move forward carefully to the next intersection and pause to check it,
Floor [1d100] = 5, Right Wall [1d100] = 53, Left Wall [1d100] = 2, Front Wall [1d100] = 94 Back Wall [1d100] = 77, ceiling [1d100] = 62, secret doors [1d6] = 3
He will then listen after his checking of the intersection Hear Noise [1d100] = 96 Still deaf as a post and if nothing is heard, he will move along the uppermost passageway with dagger in one hand, the readied spell to be cast with components in the other

Re: Chapter 9: The Cave Exploring Continues
Mort will switch places with Wolfrum. Once in position at his passage entrance he will listen intently for anything other than the parties movements. Thief Skill Checks[1d100] = 73 But it is hard to hear over everyone moving around into position. So Mort moves into a crouching position with his crossbow at the ready.

Re: Chapter 9: The Cave Exploring Continues
Ewat will light a lantern over on his side of the caves. He'll them look around to see if anyone with a one-handed weapons will hold it, since he has a bow.

It looks like Idonea will now have Mort's Torch, since Ewat will light a Lantern.
Wexley will continue straight ahead basically hugging the wall for another 10 feet while everyone else stays put for the moment?

Re: Chapter 9: The Cave Exploring Continues
Can Kormak see that the passage they are watching is a dead end with his infravision or is that just revealing too much on the map?
