It sucks, yeah, but such is life. Gaming continues elsewhere for now. It is what it is.dmw71 wrote:Sorry to hear that. I'll take care of this now.Koren n'Rhys wrote:Hey guys - this can be archived now. I had to pull the plug. Thank you.

Re: OOC Open Table Chat I
Yeah, that's mostly what's dragging me down, unsurprisingly. Weird world for sure. I'm playing in a few other things, but not in the mindset ro run a game right now, I guess. Thanks, good luck to you too.tibbius wrote:Thanks for the closure, Reese. Best of luck in this weird world.

Re: OOC Open Table Chat I
Hey guys. I'm afraid I'm going to call this one a fail and put it out of it's misery. I just can't seem to muster the enthusiasm to get it moving again - not that it ever got rolling in the first place... I appreciate you giving it a shot and I'm sorry I didn't make a better go of it. Better luck wi...

Re: OOC Open Table Chat I
Alive and well here. Adapting to working from home, along with my wife and college-age daughter doing the same. Gaming hasn't been a focus, I'm afraid, but once we settle into a routine I'll be able to multitask a bit better. My apologies for not pushing this along yet, but I'm not giving up on it, ...

Re: OOC Open Table Chat I
Apologies for the delay on my end everyone. Work this week has been a bit a on the crazy side and busy evenings lately too. If you don't know, I'm in Boston and the coronavirus outbreak is exploding here and that's causing all sorts of ripples. They've closed almost all the colleges and gone to virt...

Re: IC Chapter 1: A Fateful Gathering
Working in conjunction, the pair of scouts advance carefully. Nast moves forward slightly to have a clear line of sight to the statue. As he moves, the figure is fully revealed - an over-sized bestial humanoid with the body of a man but the head of a bull. It stands some 8' tall and in it's hands it...

Re: IC Chapter 1: A Fateful Gathering
Nast moves cautiously ahead, followed by Toldir. The scout and ranger, both accustomed to stalking through the woods, make little noise as they go. From his concealment, Conrad still gets no sense of danger or watchers outside the ruin - indeed, as the party has moved to stealth-mode, the sounds of ...

Re: IC Chapter 1: A Fateful Gathering
After waving the others on, Toldir turns his attention to the ground around and just within the entrance, hoping to find some sign of either the missing youngster from the village, or the scout who went missing looking for the boy. Unfortunately, the rough ground refuses to reveal such secrets. Betw...

Re: IC Chapter 1: A Fateful Gathering
Seeing no obvious signs of danger, Nast moves forward, ever alert, and signalling back to Toldir to follow. As the pair reaches the opening, they can clearly see inside and open sky is visible beyond. Rubble is heaped 4-5' high in most places - the remains of the upper story, now collapsed and lying...

Re: IC Chapter 1: A Fateful Gathering
Cautiously, the party approaches the ruined building, for as you get closer that is what it appears to be. The overgrown path you've followed leads to what must have been the main entry, now laid wide open and beckoning. As Kothar moves to the front of the group to guard the group against unseen dan...

Re: IC Chapter 1: A Fateful Gathering
With plenty of undergrowth around, Conrad easily slips from sight. The rest of the party simply realizes he's gone all of a sudden. So far, there is no sign of movement atop the crumbled walls and no sense of being watched.
What is everyone else doing?

Re: IC Chapter 1: A Fateful Gathering
With all they own already on their backs and little coin for additional supplies, given such a short trip into the nearby forest, the party wastes no more time and sets off. Led by their new guide and his familiarity with the area you make quick progress. Nast leads the group out of the village head...

Re: IC Chapter 1: A Fateful Gathering
You know it's about 7-8 miles, so later afternoon arrival if you move along. There is still the old, overgrown trail to follow, marked by more of the stone columns you'd seen on the way from the river. Still some bushwork, but not the rougher-going of untamed forest.

Re: IC Chapter 1: A Fateful Gathering
Conrad's examination does not do much to instill hope. Though not the most experienced healer, he has seen similar wounds before and recognizes the signs of infection setting in already. The bindings he removed also show evidence of some sort of poultice paste and he would have expected some better ...

Just brackets around the roll. You can use text descriptors too, like this:
To hit: [1d20+1], damage with mace: [1d6+2]
They don't work directly in the forum though, you need to go to the dice roller page (http://www.unseenservant.com)

Re: IC Chapter 1: A Fateful Gathering
The man nods and sends off a young girl to fetch the water. While he waits, Conrad draws back bedding to reveal the boy's leg, wound with bandages. Even before removing those, you can see angry red lines snaking out from under the wrappings. Gently removing the bandages, you reveal a pair of ragged-...
