Xorxen continues to battle the apparition if he can.
Javalin Attack [1d20+1] = 6+1 = 7 Damage [1d6+2] = 5+2 = 7

Loche
The savage realizes the has no weapons, and therefor is very unlikely to hurt the former queen of the Nile. Weel, noo this is a pile o' jobby, isnae it.
Reaching into his pouch, he begins tossing sling stones at the apparition, not intending to do damage, just hoping to cause a distraction.

Re: Chapter 11: Curse of the Pharaohs
Beyond the False Tomb, Fourth Tier of the Great Pyramid
Lost City of Khemsa, Forgotten Kingdom of Verulia, Great Eastern Desert, the World of Hyboria
Day Four. Late Afternoon, 16th day of the month of Yuluk, 1279th year of the Age of Aquilonia
Ankhara, queen of the dead, has come to reap the explorers' souls. Her shriek is an icy dagger in their hearts. (-2hp to all except Mako)
Amethu the Verulian is stricken in awe at the presence of his monarch returned from beyond time immeasurable.
Mako the conjurer makes himself invisible after all by hiding around the corner. The stone wall between the Easterner and the dreadful queen of crypts protects him from her deadly voice, for now.
Kiri rummages through his pack for the answer to this worsening situation, as Loche lightly lobs stones into the melee.
Zahra the amazon matches her dead queen's shriek with one full of fury and defiance. But her iron bludgeon, like Garrin's longsword and Xorzen's javelin, passes harmlessly through the ethereal horror from beyond the grave!
Actions?!

Zahra
The Amazon takes a step or two back, getting out of the way while she changes weapons. When she has the Black Javelin in hand, she'll step in, attempting to spear the creature.
Die, false Queen!
att [1d20+2] = 8+2 = 10
javelin [1d6+3] = 4+3 = 7

Garrin attempts to strike a third time...
To Hit with +1 Long Sword: [1d20+1] = 13+1 = 14; Damage: sm - [1d8+1] = 6+1 = 7; lg - [1d12+1] = 10+1 = 11
...this time with better results. I hope!

Pulling out one of his gauntlets, Kiri will hastily strap it on and, if he can reach her, will attempt to punch the queen with it, using it as an improvised weapon. if he cannot reach her, he’ll clamp his hands over his ears and run to join Maako around the corner.

Lost City of Khemsa, Forgotten Kingdom of Verulia, Great Eastern Desert, the World of Hyboria
Day Four. Late Afternoon, 16th day of the month of Yuluk, 1279th year of the Age of Aquilonia
The murderous shriek of the queen of the dead chills the adventurers, deep in the pit of their souls!
Amethu, masked descendant of Ankhara's kin, whispers prayers to the gods as the fighting rages on. Loche the Picts keeps back, lobbing more stones into the fray, trying to distract the otherworldly phantom. And Kiri Khutan clamps his gigantic hands over his ears and runs to join Mako around the corner, out of sight, beyond the reach of the baleful cacophony of the damned.
Zahra the pale amazon shouts, "Die, false Queen!" as her black javelin impales Ankhara's screaming mouth, passing clean through the wraithlike specter without harming her.
But Xorzen's javelin pierces her again and Garrin's blade rends her asunder, dissipating her immaterial form and scattering it on the wind!
And suddenly, Ankhara, last queen of Verulia, is no more.
The explorers are alone again in the secret passageway of the crypts. All goes quiet before the door to the tomb of Xuthalhotep.

Xorxen shakes off the experience......and the pain.
He gets back to work, examining the doorway for traps or secrets.

Re: Chapter 11: Curse of the Pharaohs
Amethu ponders the words of 'false queen'. Perhaps indeed it was a ghoul of the actual queen? A final prayer to the gods is whispered before pondering what curiosities lie in wait beyond...

Zahra
Zahra puts her javelin away and spits on the floor where the creature stood. She lifts her torch to provide light for the examination of the door.

Kiri stays with Maako around the corner, waiting for the traps to be sprung before rejoining. "I've always wanted an enchanted weapon," he says, glancing jealously at the party members in front of the door. "Good in a situation like that."

Amethu clutches his amulet as he ponders the events of the Forgotten Queen and now this ominous path. He comes to a realization and pulls a dusty scroll from his case.
