You said that we cant easily follow our trail back to the settlement, correct? Since the tree markings are now covered with snow?

If we can follow the larger trail that Brevos found from here, I don't know that we really need to go back to the settlement.

If those assumptions are correct, I propose that we just lick our wounds and continue on from here.

Pyotr has said his bit- if we stay in the woods and try to move on, we're more likely to die of exposure or some other natural hazard.

We've burned nearly all of our resources in the fight with the wolves, and barely escaped. Much as Urdur wants to continue into the forest, I think we need to rest up on HP and magic before moving on. If the villagers want to make fun of us for it, so be it. It's not like they're going to turn us away, and no creatures will attack us there.

Depending on how long we rest up, Urdur can cast Invisibility on someone (perhaps a thiefy-type) before we head out, so that we have an ace up our sleeve....

This is a game about killing things and taking their stuff so you can become more powerful in order to kill bigger things and take even better stuff.
