Xorzen checks over the pile of carnage at his feet, searching each of the undead forms for anything the group could use along their noble mission.

"Yes. Rest may be necessary after that fight. That back hallway seems like a defensible location."

Zahra

Zahra is as exhausted as the rest. She nods at the suggestion of the hallway. I believe you are right. Would you help me, and we can search it for undetected dangers?

Sheathing his sword, Kiri will scoop up his fellow easterner, Mako, and, trudging over the ruins of their attackers, move him to the back hallway to place him in as comfortable a position as he can manage until someone is able to look after him.

The Violated Crypt, Fourth Tier of the Great Pyramid
Lost City of Khemsa, Forgotten Kingdom of Verulia, Great Eastern Desert, the World of Hyboria
Day Three. Early afternoon. 15th day of the month of Yuluk, 1279th year of the Age of Aquilonia

In the wake of the ferocious battle, the silence that descends upon the labyrinthine necropolis of the ancients is deafening.

Xorzen finds nothing of use in the crumbled husks of the eternal guardians of the crypts. Even their curving, single-edged blades, forged millennia ago, are suddenly rotted through with age and rust.

Amethu of Uthoth recites mystic hieroglyphs from a scroll of papyrus and Arthfael the barbaric outlander is healed. (+11hp)

After searching the northeastern hallway, the explorers move Mako and set up a makeshift camp to rest and recover. Four hours and two watch shifts pass uneventful.

And then all hell breaks loose.
