Oddity with my account
Re: Oddity with my account
Not on Mobile safari it doesn't.
Or rather I cleared my cache on mobile safari and it didn't.

This is a game about killing things and taking their stuff so you can become more powerful in order to kill bigger things and take even better stuff.

This solution is very hit-or-miss.Zhym wrote:Oh, and if you're using firefox, try cmd-shift-R (on Mac) or "Ctrl + F5" or "Ctrl + Shift + R" (or Windows or Linux) at a page that looks wrong.

Surprised, or relieved that it was anyone except me! Lolrredmond wrote:Yeah. Weirdness. I woke up in Dave's bed this morning. Boy was his wife surprised!

Re: Oddity with my account
Today I am unable to access the site at all from my phone, but on my computer I am Tiglath. I feel a lot more handsome than I used to!
Also, I started this thread in English, but then Zhym, dmw, et all changed to some language i cannot comprehend. I hate being code/computer user illiterate.
Also, my posts all seem to say Rusty Tincanne as the author. Which they should.
Edit: I can edit my posts.

This solution seems to work well for me. I'm using Chrome.dmw71 wrote:This solution is very hit-or-miss.Zhym wrote:Oh, and if you're using firefox, try cmd-shift-R (on Mac) or "Ctrl + F5" or "Ctrl + Shift + R" (or Windows or Linux) at a page that looks wrong.

Re: Oddity with my account
The important thing to know about that workaround is that you need to do it every time you want to look at the up-to-date page. Any time you look at the page without using those key sequences (e.g., by clicking on links, reloading, etc.), you'll get the cached page again.

Thanks Greg. It seems better now. So far today I'm only myself.
But the pages remain stale until I apply 'Zhym's Workaround' (destined to join the hallowed ranks of Mordenkainen, Otto and Bigby). Thanks Zhym!

This still seems to only be an issue when returning to the home page. Navigating within a game seems to be fine.

Re: Oddity with my account
Ok, so I guess this site is seeing a ton of bandwidth use. Thus, they turned on Varnish cache (this is a product that they use). That's causing the erratic things we're seeing. Soooo, I have to upgrade to their cloud services, where if necessary, I can turn off this cache. That will initiate around midnight tonight (pacific or mountain time). The upgrade is said to be seamless so we'll see. Fingers crossed and thanks for everyone's patience!
