Tella - Elf Mage

Tella also ponders any of spells that may help.... Whelp, my majick repertoire is based around battle. Not to much help in reconnaissance.

Before Altos disappears she will ask: The enclave, are the folks that built it still around. Perhaps we question them concerning it's internal layout?

Tella will also use her engineering skill to ponder any explosive gases that can be mixed up that are heavier than air.

We believe the Fat man put up the keep with magic, I've heard most buildings are erected that way in the heart.

The cellars though were dug with slave labor and any of the Fat Mans lieutenant s would have a working knowledge of the layout down there.

"Hmm," grunts Vek. "Add that to things to watch for, Roseheart. Maybe we can get a lieutenant alone before the raid or during it."

Glimble "Well at the very least our mages er spell casters here might have better means to slip inside the fort and gather us some much valued details. I however would have to see what Gond can favor me with that might aide us otherwise I may well have to just pose as a travelling Gondsman and see if they would permit me entry. Perhaps showing off my inventions or being in search of other education could some how get me in to see some of the Fat Man's council." the gnome rants on trying to form a plan.

Enoka:

"No need to alter yourselves with magical incantations. Bralm has bestowed a gift onto me for my faithful service to her. I can take form at will to a creature of which you speak. I can blend among my children and observe unnoticed. As well I can gather information from the children that already nest in the Fat man's lair. Bless Bralm in her greater knowledge and the hive that labors in her name."

Glimble "Ah so your a druid? I've heard a lot of interesting things about Druids. Druids must think us Gondsmen quite odd I imagine. But sorry I'm getting off track. Perhaps there is a better place for us to sit and formulate a plan yes?"

OK - do you guys want to start right away?

Enokas power does have limitations, she can chose a giant spider as one of her forms but she can't turn into anything smaller than a small bird or bat. But a bat would blend in down here there are probably thousands of the things up at the top of the cavern. The druids handbook also says you can't be a poisonous spider.

If enoka turned into a bat she could likely scout the whole area undetected from above. Large bats actually have good vision and sonar.

a bat, rat or mouse even a spider sound the most likely ones to work bat being the better idea as it would be far harder for them to try and kill Enoka rat might get killed.

Altos departs, and you check out your room, which is quite comfortable.

Will you all go to the edge other heart to be near Enoka while she surveys the keep, or will you mostly stay here and send out a scout team?

Vek relies on wise Enoka and cunning Garl to best decide how to scout out the Fat Man's stronghold.

Enoka:

"Well Garl, I can scout the stronghold from above and get an aerial view while in bat form and report back. After we have a map of the outer layout, I can make some incursions deeper into the hold itself. It's going to take several days of observation in not weeks. Perhaps it's best that we find some long term residences and probe the locals for information. Maybe find the Fatman's rival or aspiring usurper."

Glimble "Garl could see if there are any rumors of one of the rivals planning any attack on the Fatman's establishment, or perhaps my knowledge of the underworld type life is less than true."

Garl - I think the less we put ourselves out there the better. No questions, no interaction. Let's let Enoka work and not tip our hand.

Enoka slips out onto the darkness of the night, and then leaning forward, begins to shrink. A moment later she slips I to the black cavern as a bat. She whirls through the pitch black, navigating with ease, and finding the triangular keep of the fat man.

Enokas notes,

The guards move from the outbuildings to the keep from time to time. There are two back doors on the keep, which they seem to use.

The whole courtyard is crawling with zombies, but the Zombies only drift about and don't attack guards?

Each of the towers are connected though internal passages in the walls, which also connect to the keep and outbuildings.

Enoka isn't sure on the total above ground force, but has "seen" six humans and there are at least 3-5 dozen orcs. The orcs are manning slits on the perimeter mostly armed with scimitars and crossbows.

Enoka:

"That is all I saw from above. I don't think anyone noticed me. I can try and get a closer look next time. I should be able to get into the eaves of the structures and inside for a closer look."

"Seems dangerous" adds Garl. "You never know when a guard will decide to take a practice shot at bat, or a magical ward will be placed at a window."

Roseheart agrees "Going in the front door doesn't make sense with that type of force and in close-quarters. Go in from underneath?"
