OOC stuff

#1 Post by OGRE MAGE »

Thanks again for giving this a try play testers!

You have all been added to the game and your sheets have been posted.

Please sound off so I know I got you all entered correctly.

Thanks!

I'm here but unsure what you mean about making sure we were entered correctly. I will be playing the part of Hob. Curious to see how we will control the characters- I'm fine with you making all the rolls but it seems like an undue burden on you with everything else you will be juggling. Just let me know what you want to do.

I'm totally going to use that for the game thread header. :D

Since the sheets won't really need to be adjusted, we can leave them in the read only format if that is easiest.

You will still need to create a way to make rolls though. Let me think on that a bit.

Campaign ID# is 456.

You don't need to transfer all of the information over, but you will still need to create a character that you can link rolls to and create macros for etc.

Let me know if that makes sense or not.

I put in my character sheet and linked to the campaign ID #. One question on equipment: may Hob have a quiver of regular arrows in addition to the 5 magical arrows he has?

Hold that thought coil!

ToniXX is going to transfer the sheets I made over to you players. We can talk about changes once that has been done.
Thanks!

It will be assumed that each character has all of the essentials for this adventure on them. Arrows, rations, toilet paper, etc. I didn't feel the need to put that stuff on the sheets, but if you would like to, that is fine with me.

Before you go too crazy though, please keep in mind that Hob is not currently on an adventure. He is at work. :(

Likewise, the core four are simply travelers at this point. (very well armed travelers) They wouldn't be decked out with a ton of adventuring gear either.

I just got word that the sheets have been transferred to each player.

Let me know if there are any issues with that or if you have any questions about the sheets or making up macros.

Once I hear that everyone is ready to roll, I will start populating the game thread.

Seriously, thanks again for playing along on this one!

I'm glad you said that.....

Obviously, Hob will not be involved in this very first bit, as I am guessing you have already figured out.

I am writing up your info right now, so please stand by as they crash the gate or whatever they are going to do.

Ok, let's do this then.

No need to ask a bunch of questions......lets just make posts and tell a story, not worrying in the least about rules and crap.

Welcome everyone! (thanks again for playing)

I would like this game to be as heavy on the roleplay and light on the OOC questions as possible. I find it much more satisfying to get or give an answer to a question "in character" instead of responding to a list of red questions at the end of posts. (I do realize that it is a necessary evil at times)

I will do what I can to keep this in mind as I push the action along. I will pop in to respond to characters thoughts often in this game. Feel free to make as many role play posts as you like while we go along. I will not limit the dialogue posts, but in combat situations, I will keep the action to a strict round by round format.

Keep any obvious OOC stuff in this thread please, especially if it isn't game related.

Thanks!
I hope you all enjoy the game!

You can just make a normal attack roll for a subdual attempt. 75% of the damage is considered subdual and 25% is actual damage.

Sorry, folks, the die roller is having fits. I keep getting nonsense results, such as:
Shortsword (THACO 18): [1d20] = 0; damage: [1d6+1] = 0+1 = 1
Would the GM be so kind as to roll an attack fro last round and this round for poor ol' Samwise? THACO 18, 1d6+1 damage. Subdual.
