Blodget, halfling thief:

Blodget is surprised to find himself not quivering in abject fear at the shriek of the demon thing!
The foolish little hobbit pulls up his elven hood and tries to use his concealment to slip past the skeletons and race toward the snow demoness to get in position for a sneaky backstab! ...next round!

[1d20] = 2
+6=8

Irritated, Mira uncharacteristically lashes out at the Skeleton with her staff.

[1d20] = 1

Uncharacteristically, and unwisely.

Chaos in the Crypt
Round 3

The group steels itself against the horrible screeching from the ba'atun, the dreadful noise now becoming commonplace for the hardy adventurers. (I rolled for Xano and she also passed. Pay attention, Dram! :lol: ) Despite the inept attempt of Mira's attack causing her to fall on her cute little butt, Halo, Wyntar, and Xano make easy work out of the remaining skeletons, creating small piles of bones and returning their spirits to the eternal dead where they belong. The far weaker monsters are unable to make any more successful attacks before their demise.

Blodget hides himself under his cloak again and sprints towards Trotter, hoping to make another sneaky back attack on the red bitch. Trotter seems unsatisfied by only chopping off one measly arm. He swings his powerful sword again, causing another horrific wound to open up on the red cleric. Now unable to weave her magical incantations, the beast resorts back to her innate abilities. She begins buffeting her leathery wings at the ranger as she lifts off the floor. Suddenly, shards of ice begin to shoot from the creature, heading straight at the stationary halfling. The shards fan out in front of Trotter, a few of them piercing his defenses while the rest tinkle harmlessly off the floor around him. 6 dam She rises up into the air, now out of the reach of the hobbits swords.

Actions!

Morgi:
You ignore the battleground in the nursery and descend the next flight of steps to the bottom of this tower. The room that opens up before you looks to be a ransacked music room. There is a large ornate harp standing upright in the center of the room. Another cloudy, mist like doorway is directly across from where you entered.

Wyntar 12/40
Mira 31/32
Morgi 19/49
Blodget 34/56
Halo 3/49
Trotter 10/43
Xano 32/39

Halo will try and keep the others safe beside him within his aura of protection, whilst moving chivalrously to assist Mira to Her feet.

Foreign cursing can be heard as Mirachele's normally pouty lips curl into a hateful sneer in her scramble to arise. She rubs her cute little butt in pain, and stays close to the wall. She knows the Halfing Paladin's wounds are critical and wants to protect him, yet she realizes his pride will be pushed but so far. Xano, take the fore, Halo, guard the rear. My own cursed Fog hinders us, stay close to the wall, but hurry! Blodgett and Trotter face that thing without us!

Blodget, halfling thief:

"Yes m'lady!" Blodget blurts breathlessly as he hurls another stone at the flying limbless horror!

Chaos in the Crypt
Round 4

Halo, Mira, and Xano regroup at the doorway, dusting off their backsides as they form up to advance through the fog towards the enemy. Wyntar readies himself to use another charge from his powerful staff. The red flying ape elevates even higher as the heroes switch back to their ranged weapons. Trotter nearly finds Blodgets eye with his first hurried shot as the tiny thief swings his sling around his head. The ranger’s second arrow finds its mark though, as does the thief’s stone. The beast continues to screech loudly as she readies a stone of her own. Her wounds are grave now and she knows her time is short. She chucks a grey blob down at the pair of halflings below her. As the stone nears, it morphs into a huge net of sticky strands that completely envelop the pair where they stand. They fight to get out of the webs, but only Trotter is strong enough to tear away at the mass.

Before the red demon gets a chance to drop down onto the halflings, Wyntar’s missiles find their mark. The beast is beset by several of the stinging bolts, finally causing enough damage to knock her from the air. She plummets to the floor again, hitting it hard with a loud thump as her monkey skull shatters and monkey brains begin to ooze out onto the floor.

The room is still hazy and filled with smoke, but the din grows silent again. There is only the one final door next to the statue left to investigate. The group remembers the words of cloud giant, thinking that the black snow demon must surely wait beyond.

Actions!

Morgi:
As you fly through the misty door on your way out of the music room, completely ignoring the harp, you enter the massive Main Hall of the castle. There is much evidence of a large battle recently fought in here. There are several dead bodies lying all around, including giants, zombies, ogres, and even some colorful snow apes. The main feature of this room is a massive table covered with blood and guts.

However, you soon find that you are not alone in this place as several live snow demons seem to be tearing into the dead bodies, eating their fill. There are several doors that lead out of this room and you see a huge balcony with a few more doors above that must lead into rooms on the second floor.

Trotter works to cut Blodget out of the web while everyone regroups. You all got one more battle in you? This one will be a doozy!

"Perhaps we have the means to look inside the room first and maybe create an image of us entering before we do, to waste some of her more potent powers on an illusion before we rush within?" the mortally wounded paladin suggests looking at Mirachelle hopefully

Blodget, halfling thief:

"Thank you ever so kindly, Mister Trotter, sir!" the foolish young hobbit said gratefully as he emerged from the sorcerous webs.

Then he padded softly near the final door to check the area, the statue, and the door for more nasty, tricky traps!

Morgi looks at the scene and tries to discern which way the group based on the battle remains...

[1d20] = 6 WIS check

Confidant in his decision, he bypasses the beasts and heads down....Invisible and silent in his flight

It's... possible, Mira lowers her face, eyes shut tightly, But my mirages will not allow me to see thru the misty door, any more than I am able now. Still, I understand your meaning: A trick to take the first hit, to cause our enemy to waste resources, to let us know how we will be received. My spells are nearly depleted. I could send in the most powerful, or... But only if all agree.

Wyntar

Whispering to the others....Well, that could be a good idea Mira, but only if she's in that room! It should not be wasted, so let us thoroughly check to see if there are any glyphs or wards around the door?
