We shouldn't dawdle long with Azoth's spell still in effect. Let us at least open the door while the interpretation is commencing. That way the priest can look beyond to determine if the way is safe.

The skinny elf will attempt to push open the door if he can.

Druids can identify animal type, though a beetle is an insect. So Calto go ahead and make an Int. check.

He concentrates on his new dagger again, hoping it will show him any secret doors or possibly something else that the group can not see.

The dark cleric snarled, "Exactly. Remember the last time we were tempted by shiny treasure? We paid for it in blood. Leave these simple animals be.
"Or else befriend them, wise Calto."

The arcane acolyte's crimson hell-eyes scanned the room and doors for traps.

Calto observes the beetles milling about the room, "Yes, these creatures pose no threat as long as we do not tread upon their domain. Let us leave them in peace. With exception to the smell, they are magnificent are they not? Their lights are a thing of beauty, no?" The nature-cleric then offers a wry smile to the others and waits to see what is suggested as the next course of action.
