Azoth the cleric casts Find Traps, and his vision is transformed. The south hallway continues 50' then turns east, ramping very gently down and stretching 30' as far as Tabai's torch light illuminates. Along the floor every 2' are stone cylinders that appear to be rollers.

Calto the druid:

Addressing Azoth, "What visions does your god grant, priest? We must hurry on to fresh air." The druid then falls into a coughing spasm as he awaits word.

Azoth Al-Aziz, occultic priest:

The eyes of the arcane acolyte were blood red as he rasped, "This looks like a trap but my otherworldly vision perceives no danger. Proceed with caution. Perhaps the trigger is at the bottom of this slope." He continued down, crimson orbs scanning for dangers and death.

If the rollers were to roll something down that gentle slope, from what wall would the something suddenly appear? Thanks.

Calto the druid:

Calto grabs Azoth's sleeve before the priest descends down the hall. "Hold, friend. Let us take caution not to touch the rollers and step over them as we proceed."

The party is walking down the very gentle ramp, so the wall behind you would be the location of something coming out. It appears free of traps to Azoth 's vision.

Kitchi hears Calto's warning and will avoid the rollers? I wish we could just flee this place, but I fear we must complete this mission to find our way out.

Azoth Al-Aziz, occultic priest:

On his way forward, the hell-eyed cleric glances at the ceiling, to see if that is where something might fall from to then slide down the rollers.

If he finds nothing, he'll continue to lead the way down, careful not to slip on a roller.

The ceiling reveals no hidden traps to Azoth. Troubled still, the adventurers move down the gentle slope and step over the rollers. Their bodies feel he effects of the foul air (1 HP damage each.) Kitchi the ranger comments about escape. They all realize they could come back the way they came, all the way to the top outside the ziggurat. Would the blood thirsty, heart-eating canibals still be waiting for them? Would they have the reputed totem artifacts for the peaceful natives to overcome the jaguar warriors of the evil savage tribes?

At about 80', they come upon a simple stone wall. There is a one inch gap between it and the two walls, floor and ceiling.

Calto the druid:

The nature-priest stoops to examine the one inch gap between the wall and the floor. He scratches his chin and questions, "Might this be an already sprung trap? Perhaps this is a stone block that rolled down the corridor we have just traversed?"
Grog, have we seen any rats or mice while delving in the shrine?

Alex 'Blade Rain' Vam; Human Fighter

'Blade Rain' moves gingerly over the rollers and down the slope, keeping as sharp an eye and ear as possible out for any signs that a trap is coming, but is somewhat surprised when nothing happens. Seeing the Stone Wall with the gap between it and the floor, ceiling and side walls, the Fighter scrunches up his face in confusion and looks back at the slope the just walked down and back, wondering if that stone could have been a slab that slid down and somehow became embedded in the wall or opening behind it; perhaps used to seal something in?

Alex hesitantly speaks; "I'm no engineer....but is is possible that stone wall or slab slid down the rollers and lodged in place where we see it now? Perhaps to seal something in?"

Siavel is perplexed by the priests magic not registering this as a trap.

Should we try to pull the stone wall out to see if there is something behind it?

He steps away from the wall, letting the stronger members in front of him in case hard labor us required.

Kitchi- Closely looks over the wall blocking their path. Was not a door that we did search farther back near where we fought the snake.

Azoth Al-Aziz, occultic priest:

The dark cleric lowered the center of his hoary brow and the corners of his dry, cracked mouth. "Either the trap has been sprung. Or else it hasn't, and this monstrous slab will roll up the rollers."

If this is a dead end, he'll search for secret doors.
If they fail to find any, they may have to turn back.

Calto the druid:

Following the lead of Azoth, Calto also searches the area for any secret passages or hidden doors.

The adventurers theorize about the stone wall before them. With only an inch of open space around the stone block, no one can gain proper leverage to pull it back onto a roller.

Searches are made for secret doors and none are found. Azoth still sees no trap dangers with his divine vision. Seemingly at an impasse, the party makes their way back west and north. Kitchi the ranger reminds the group of past doors they left unexplored. They also recall in the northeast corner of the chamber of eyes and worms there is a corridor leading out east (see map.)

Azoth Al-Aziz, occultic priest:

"If the chamber of eyes and worms is empty, let us proceed east from it, down the stairs," the dark cleric suggested. "Quickly, while my enchantment of unearthly vision remains."
