Lar attacks as well if it still stands before he gets his turn, "Ohama will send you back to the darkness you came from foul beast."

To Hit AC0 (15) Bastard Sword +1, [1d20+1] = 16+1 = 17, Dmg vs sm [2d4+1] = 6+1 = 7 Dmg vs L [2d8+1] = 5+1 = 6

Lar then looks to assist the others in dealing with this light issue and possibly a way down to the catacombs, "Where is Cyrus? Let's look for a way to the catacombs." Looking to see if Bogdona still has control of the man. "Bring him along but quietly and gag him if he isn't quiet."

Agax Gryyg, game mage:

With five assailants already upon the final, lone foe, the dreaming wizard pulls up the hood of his elven cloak and quietly, cautiously joins Scarlett in searching for the unseen adversary who can weave spells of darkness.

Agax advances in the direction of Castran's glowing coin, but keeps in the shadows.

Lar, Shinyah, and Gragog combine to put an end to the undead thing (though Gragog's support is more of the moral kind than of the actually-damaging-the-enemy kind). It is, for the moment anyway, quiet except for Cyrus's muffled pleading and whimpering.

Castran, Agax, and Scarlett take the opportunity to look for Melampus. Castran and Agax search east; Scarlett holds the line west. None of them find their old friend. The stone on Agax's staff lights up when he passes out of the less bright circle around Lar.

Bragar places an aura of protection from evil on himself.

Bogdana steps to Lar's side. "Here, let me help you," she says. The paladin feels much better (+8 HP).

Out of the corner of your eyes, you spot something flying out of Cyrus's quarters. It lands with a rolling clang under the mists in the hallway.

Bragar steps away from whatever it is that roll out of the room. As he believes that it is most definitely from the hands of Melampus. Watch out! He turns towards the door to see what comes out next.

Shinyah, Druid

Upon seeing the object come flying out into the hallway, the druid will try to keep an eye on it in case something happens, while making sure he does not get close to it.

Agax Gryyg, game mage:

"The dark spellcaster is in Cyrus' room. We should charge him now before he can cast again!" Agax says as he throws Castran's glowing coin just inside the doorway of Cyrus' room in an attempt to reveal their adversary.

Lar says, "Thank you Bogdona. I feel better after the blessing you gave me from Ohama." Lar moves with the others to move into Cyrus' room. He will deal with anything that needs dealt with along the way should it be necessary to fight his way in saying, "Steady folks. We don't know what we're dealing with just yet."

Scarlett

Scarlett will run to pick up the light coin from the hallway and move to the southern door where the wights came from. She will place it in the corridor, as she fears the return of these damned creatures while we seek this Melampus. She will stay on guard there ready to turn any foul creatures, just in the side of the door not silhouetted in the frame.

Castran continues searching in the direction from which he heard Melampus's voice, but all he finds in the east end of the hall is mist. There are stairs leading up and the wine cellar beyond iron bars to the east, but he sees no signs of Melampus in the parts of those areas he can see, either.

Bragar and Shinyah step back from whatever it was that just flew out of Cyrus's room. Gragog watches and waits.

Agax and Scarlett both go for Castran's light coin. Scarlett finds it first. She takes it into the small corridor to the south, where she stands guard.

Lar boldly charges into Cyrus's room.

Cyrus' room, which one do you mean. The little storeroom or the smelly kitchen?

Scarlett will stay for the moment on guard, watching down the southern doorway, listening for footsteps or groanings from wherever it leads off into darkness.

The "little storeroom" has a bed in it. It's Cyrus's living quarters.

Lar says to the others, "I saw a fog shaped humanoid but it just sank to the floor and disappeared. It might take shape anywhere in the fog that covers the floor. Be careful. We should gather for protection."

At the mention of humanoids dissipating into fog, alarm bells ring in Scarlett's mind."This Melampus, your dwarven friend. He has taken vampiric form, flee this hallway now,"she shouts to everyone, calling them in the gloom to follow.

Agax Gryyg, game mage:

"Quite," the dreaming wizard agreed. But he would tarry just long enough to carefully investigate what was thrown from Cyrus' room with a clank.
If necessary, he would use the end of his staff to swirl the mist, like a witch stirring her cauldron pot, to expose what lay beneath. But the staff won't touch the ground.

If he's found himself in one of the shifting geographies of darkness, the eternal optimist will light a candle.

After Agax sees the object, he'll either pick it up or leave it (depending on the object), and follow the others away.
